I have been using Sign Shine recently and am real tired of not being able to clean it off my hands, stirring spoon, etc. Is there anything that will cut it before it hardens?

I use Oops swipes... works great on paint and other things too.

Laura, if you get any oxidation on the Sign Shine, clean it with swipes or alcohol (swipes is faster) then coat it with a couple sprays of Krylon Clear.

What is Sign Shine?

Sign Shine is the old name. I think the new name is Dura Shine but anyway it a two part expoy resin that comes in clear liquid. Mix 8 ozs with one teaspoon of any color lettering enamel and apply to your sign. It dries to look like ceramic tile.

8 oz to one teaspoon? Does this go over a base coat of that color enamel or straight over primer?

Doug,

I believe it goes directly to the surface such as HDU with no priming necessary. At lease that's how they did it at the Sandcastle meet in April.
