5.5'x4' double sided HDU sign sandblasted with corporate logo included $3500
The client says: "Man what a price"..."are you trying to retire off one sign?". Me(suddenly incited to a smart alec retort). "No... but I would like to buy a new lakehouse retreat and pay off my condo on Panana City Beach."
Reckon he believes I really have a condo? Heck, I don't even have any RETIREMENT...or medical insurance.
Yesterday, a client called wanting a price on replacing some physicians' name boards on their clinic sign. (The original sign cost about $8400.) I told her that they would be about $735 each. She says "I though they would be about $100" I said, "ma'am the redwood boards to make one of them would be almost $100" She says: "couldn't you use cheaper wood?" I had a customer ask me if I was planning to retire off her sign after I quoted her $149.00 for it. I told her if I knew how to retire on $149.00, I would write a book.

I got a guy I call Mingya Larry. Guy who had an upscale restaurant given to him by his father... I liked his father, the son's a spoiled idiot.
His 50yr old plex faces blew out during a windstorm so I sold him two new ones ... I estimated him 1100 per face plus install and refurbishing the box ... he saw 3300 quote ... "Mingya, I didn't want to pay that much" ... but he did.
Then wanted a website ... "Mingya, didn't want to pay that much, what can I get for $500" ... someone else to do it.
Just built a new stone patio onto the restaurant and wanted a grand opening banner, by the end of the day or deals off ... "Mingya, didn't want to pay that much" Drive by the next day to see a Budweiser banner with big Bud logo and tiny letters for text ... hahaha idiot.
Now when he calls I just answer "Mingya, you don't want to pay that much" and hang up.

ROFLMAO, Mark.
I had someone give me grief for NOT doing a job for him. He pulled in with a new truck I'd never seen before. He never called to let me know he needed it done, then said "You coulda had that job!" and stormed off in a huff.
I noticed when he pulled away that someone had swiped a logo with hand drawn cartoons I'd designed for his website and was now cranking out decals of it. In a moment of true wisdom, I shattered his world by pointing to the decals and saying "Guess what, I DID do this job!"
Needless to say, not only has he offended me, there is no longer enough beer or money on the face of the Earth that will ever get me to deal with him ever again.
His loss...

Ray, You send him a bill for the use of your logo design on his truck as you only designed it for his website. You should recieve a royalty for your COPYRIGHTED work.. That will really **** him off.
