What exactly is that colored film on windows that is transparent like tint that people use for graphics? It looks really great. Usually you see gold and silver, but I recently saw some purple and other colors as well. Where can I get info?
Thanks yall!

Hey Vinylman, yeah, that stuff looks GREAT! It works best on a large scale, not to much small detail. I've seen it in use up here for 5/6 years, some shop had the exclusive on it. Sorry don't have any more than that, but if suppliers are watching the board, they should be able to direct you to some. There was an aquarium supply bus. down on SE Marine Dr. in Vancouver a few yeasrs ago, REAL COLOURFUL, you can imagine, eh!

MacTac has a product like that, but I've never seen it listed at my suppliers here. I have a Mac product catalogue that shows many uses of it, and it is stunning stuff, but most of the pictures are european, so maybe its just making it here to North America now.

Is this what you are talking about?
This is coloured window film backed up with a mirrored film. We taped a paper pattern on the outside and started filling in the shapes with different colours (hand cutting the shapes). The pictures don't show it real well, but when the sun is directly on it, it lights right up.
Try contacting a local tint shop to source it out or you can try www.solargard.com to locate a dealer near you.
Hope this helps! Posted by Tim (Member # 1699) on :
