Howdy, I will be lettering my new truck. I will be doing the job similar to the one that wae in the 98' Sep/Oct issue of Signcraft. The one where they had glued on individual letters cut from HDU with a computer driven router. Does anyone know of a signshop on the Northwest Coast that could cut out the letters for me? The size of the letters are about 5" talls. It would be just the word Signs.

Alicia, You can cut 5 letters of 3/4" or 1" SignFoam, using a sabre saw with a fine blade, in less than a half hour.
Use the 18 lb. density.
With sandpaper & some simple tools, you can quickly shape as desired.

I though about that. But I want the edges of the letters with a nice routed edge. Plus, I don't feel like buying a full sheet of signfoam just to use an area of just 18" x 6". For me, it would be easier and cheaper to hire someone else to do it.

Alicia, Chuck at Anchor Sign Systems Concord, CA 925-825-1618 fax 925 825 5574 email a-anchor@pacbell.net can give you a quote. The easiest way is to fax him a draft of your art so he can see the font.
The name similarity to Anchorblanks is not a coincidence. Tell him I sent you. Vic G
