Got my 66' GMC loaded down and headin' for the "Northwoods" of Wisconsin! Although it's raining now, that will not put a damper on anything at THIS meet! If your still on "The Fence" wondering if you should go, and your not far away, now's the time to get in your shop truck/car and have a GOOD TIME with Host Kurt Gaber in Chippewa Falls! I'm ready to hand letter til the cows come home! Kurt has a Digital Camera and he can post some picture updates for you kids.
So, for a nice break from those Helvetica no parking signs your cranking out today, head to this link or just plain git in yur buggy and GIT HERE! Let's make some memories!
Keepin' it wet......Mike

Hey Mike, wish I could be there!! Sure sounds like it's gonna be a blast!! I was hoping to make it but my lil' brother beat me to the door so somebody's gotta stay & keep an eye on things.

We try to make every meet we can, but there is just too many meets and too little resources. Please give Kurt and his guests are best wishes. If you guys need HeadTV or anything else, don't hesitate to call. This is going to be one teriffic meet!
If you are within driving range of Wisconsin, there is still time to get up off your best intentions and go create some lifetime memories. All the details are at http://www.gabersigns.com/LetterheadMeet.ivnu Posted by Deb Fowler (Member # 1039) on :
Kurt, I wish I could make it, but had to put family stuff first. Thanks for letting me know about it, but work comes first these days. Near my birthplace, would love to make it. Take lots of closeups! Most of the pix are so far away and are tough to see. Have a wonderful time, we are all rooting for you in spirit!

kurt, sorry i can't make it. this is gonna be a great meet!
I hereby declare this meet... one kick ass good time! We had a little rain this morning, but it turned out awesome and we got both of the wall jobs underway. Sorry I don't know how to post pictures, so I e-mailed them to Barb. I know, I know, get a life you say... but I've only posted once with pix attached and I can't remember how the heck I did it!
I'm posting this at 11:15 pm CST, so if anyone else checks this, I can e-mail to one of you nite-owls and you can post them, just reply with your e-mail.
We're blasting tons of glass, HDU, gold leafing, pinstriping at the panel jam, wall doggin'. Did I mention eating and drinking? We're doing that too.
Jillbeans, I gave out every flier you sent me for your meet right with the registration, they are GONE, so hopefully we can generate some 'heads.
Plenty of pix coming. Close-up pix? How close?
More coming guys... great weather for tomorrow. Heck, we were on the news tonight, and 2 more stations are coming tomorrow and Saturday. It's like we're bigshots or something, wow that's fun!
Kurt

Thank you for posting the pictures Barb! We'll get plenty more today. Special request pictures welcome... like close up shots of Mike Meyers new popcorn coated slippers, or whatever you can think of that's not X-rated.

I did want to attend this one, but just returned from a "road trip" (was in Minnesota breifly as well). I really like the atmosphere at the Letterhead events in the midwes and I know that Kurt will be putting on a first class affair. Being gone for a couple of weeks on a vacation is a sure-fire way to get busy (overwhelmed). Summer for me is the busiest and scheduling can be a challenge, but I hope to get back to Ammerica's Heartland soon to gather with some fellow "heads".HAVE A GOOD ONE!

Kurt, thanks for the pix! That's the next best thing to being there. What's the story with those popcorn slippers for Mike??
Rich, you're sure right about the atmosphere at the midwest meets! Hope to see you at the Mid-Coast meet in Nov.

Hi Heads'
Well, the meet has come and gone, and it sure was a great time. We finished up about 90 to 95% of our projects in a timely fashion. Just as we got done loading up the last batch of scaffolding after bring back all of our borrowed tables, chairs, etc. it downpoured! I e-mailed Barb and Steve a bunch more pictures at 11:20 CST, so thanks to the Shortreeds when they post for me. I'll elaborate more about the meet when I get rested, but after 3 successive nights of 3 and half to 4 hours sleep, IM TIRED! Thanks to all who came and helped make this meet a lifetime experience...

I finally got my "fix" of stock car races tonight after missing out after so much preparation of the Brush Bash... I feel great about the meet and will definitely post more details about the entire affair, but it was nice to go out and enjoy the races knowing I didn't have to feel guilty for not doing something sign related.
By the way... my employeee Marc's brother Paul (the number 1 car pictured all over my shop wall)kicked some major butt tonight, so it was all the sweeter! One of his pitmen came Thursday to the Bash to pick up about 70 new t-shirts we had just designed and had printed, and tonight they said they will need more shirts because they sold like hotcakes!
Again, just a quick comment here, but when I went to do some more clean-up outside the shop and at the wall projects, I couldn't believe how well all of the participants had cleaned up after themselves! I picked up LESS than a coffee can full of odds and ends of misc junk from all of our project locations today. And that includes the crew of kids we had running around all weekend! Now, the shop is still requiring some attention, but that is to be expected, so that's fine. Thank you to all of you who busted your butt to get things done, and I look forward to seeing all of you again soon.
