For instance, I have to do 10 D/F corrugated lawn signs (18" X 24"), one color, all the same design on all sides.
I've always used the discount percentages from the price guides... 2 - 4 = 5% 5 - 10 = 7% 11 - 15 = 10% 16 & up = 12%
PART 2:
What would you charge for one 18" x 24" D/F corrugated sign?
I know it will be drastically different for everyone, however, I'm just trying to compare from my price. My price seems high at $65.00.
Thanks for any feedback.

I recently did a pain in a** job. I screenprinted an adhesive backed dacron material for small labels. I had done 1000 pcs. & when client returned a month later for another 1000 I offered a discount to encourage larger orders more often. I should add that I have nearly phased out screenprinting since I bought the edge, so it is more work do do now since I'm generally less set-up for it, (not to mention being spoiled).
The part of the job that was the most pain was cutting 1-1/2" x 3/4" units. This part was no easier when the order was doubled. Printing, of course, was much easier since setting up & cleaning up was not doubled & cutting down the stock from a 54" roll was also something I'd rather get around to once & then do twice the quantity while I'm at it.
To make a long story short, be careful what you discount. I regretted the price break I gave on that job once I got to cutting & realized no savings in quantities there.
For your job you could, afford to offer more discount if you are screening the coroplast, some discount, but not as much if doing them in vinyl. 10 2-sided coro is probably worth screening if your set-up for it. Since I despise screening anymore, I would probably consider doing it in vinyl for 10% -15% off. $65 is about right for 1 around here.

There is no discount if under 30 pieces and anything over 30 should be screened.

Just a quick thought, but it seems a little high for my area. Does that include the wire stakes? I offer 5% discount on the Second 10% on the 3rd, 15% on the 4th etc. After a dozen I start to think about screem printing, but, be carful when they are double sided because that means 2 runs instead of 1.

Had Blue cross/Blue shield coverage (that I paid for) for my family of 4, back in the 80's.
One family member needed surgery,my deductable was $1,000.00 + the 20% copay, well I got the bill from the Hospitol but it wasn't itemized.
I called hosp. billing dept. asked for itemized bill, (the girl mistakingly) sent me the entire bill, showing the total amount of hosp. charges, then it listed my deductable and 20% copay. The mistake was, it showed the "discount" givin to my Insurence co. (aprox.50%), so I paid aprox. $3800.00 (not counting doctors)without any discount off "total" of 12,000.00 and the insurence co. paid $4000.00, The Hosp. said this was "normal".
I called the Insurence co. and asked "why I didn't get a discount??" blew smoke up my *^#.
Policy rates are based on hosp. charges BEFORE any discounts, so that is in my book FRAUD, but getting an attorney to do something about it would cost a fortune !! So you and I get ripped off at both ends !!

HI Randy, I have an article at press right now for the upcoming SignCraft magazine on this subject. When it comes out, you might want to take a look. There are a few tips for speed and materials efficiency, plus a few pitfalls to watch out for on "discount" customers.
