Does anyone have experience with Corian signs using a router with letter templates to groove the Corian then filling the grooves with Corian adhesives?

Corian........wonderful material and have seen it used many times with a CNC router. You should have no-probswith any paints etc you want to apply

I am just getting into Corian and it is wonderful to work with. You'll like it, Mike.
Doug, would you use 1 Shot paint inside the routed letters for an outside sign? Should I go to automotive paints?
Also, what glue would I use to glue the Corian to a Sintra backing?
Thanks.

Mike, are you talking about filling the routed grooves completely with Corian adhesive in a contrasting color to give a smooth surface with an inlay effect instead of a carved look?
If so, I've seen several examples of floral designs, trim stripes, etc. inlaid in Corian countertops which really look good. The only disadvantage I know of is you do lose the depth effect of light & shadow that carving gives. Try a small sample & let us know what you think.
Another suggestion is to check with your Corian supplier about becoming a Certified Corian Commercial Fabricator (this covers anything except Kitchen countertop fab & installs). The cost is reasonable ($50 & one day of classwork) and the fabrication manual & info you'll get is well worth the time & expense.
