What have you got happening on Sunday, January 13th.?

Barb and I are heading for Detroit to learn a little pinstriping and spend some quality time with the PinHeads. After years of procrastination, I am determined to to make 2002 the year I learn to pinstripe a panel.

It's all happening at...

Auto Craft Collision
44116 Michigan Ave.
Canton, MI 48188

Hosts Johnny Z and Dr. Ru are providing food, beverage, T-shirts and goody bags for the Panel Jam, all for $25.00 pre-paid or $35.00 at the door. All proceeds will be donated to a mutually selected children's charity.

If you plan to attend, and want to avoid the disappointment of missing out on the food and/or t-shirts, it's important to let these guys know you are coming ASAP.

Johny Z at 734-397-1270
Dr. Ru at 248-357-4760

Make checks payable to:

Rudy Kutey
2440 Telegraph Rd.
Southfield, MI 48034

We'll add details such as hotel info as soon as we learn more. See you there!

Steve

Sorry I'm Curling that weekend.....like you or anyone cares.......duh.

I've been thinking......since I live so far away, I need to plan a meet around a hoilday......would be a great tax right off too.......right.

All these meets you go to are business right- offs..........am I correct in assuming that?

As far as I know they are....I don't do vacations anymore, only Letterhead meets!

And I have more fun, meet more interesting people, see more places going to meets than any other vacation I've gone on.

John....I have an accountant who is a stickler for being legal and he lets me claim all of my Leterhead meet expenses as legitimite write-offs.

I haven't had to justify anything so far.

I'm excited about this meet. For the last few weeks, I have been out in the garage learning to pinstripe. For over 20 years, I have been going to meets and secretly turning green with envy watching you PinHeads do your thing. This Summer's meet in Milwaukee and our recent trip to the Bullpen in Atlantic City was the final straw. I made myself a promise after leaving Alan Johnson's home that I would learn to pinstripe this year.

Thanks to all of you who have allowed me to take up your valuable time via the phone. In the last couple weeks, I've called George Perkins, Duwayne Connot, Alan Johnson and Tramp Warner. Our own Joey Madden has been a big help answering my questions and sharing valuable info on his website.

This meet will be different for me. Instead of worrying about HeadTV and Letteville stuff, I'm going to leave all that stuff to Barb and concentrate on learning new stuff I can practise next week. I really feel I am making progress with the outliners and scrolling brushes, but pulling lines with the sword striper is a real challenge. I have no plans to do pinstriping as a living, but I am determined to become skilled enough to turn out a panel at meets.

No sign of your swords yet Alan. I'll be watching the mail the next few days. We're looking forward to meeting Ralph Hancox, Dr. Ru, Johnny Z and anyone else who shows up this coming Sunday. I'm going to call my old buddy Keith Kneitch in Toledo tomorrow and see if I can persuade him to show up. Come on out and surprise us!
