Bummer is, the twain drivers diskette for my scanner is corrupted (being about 6 yrs old) so I can't load the drivers, and they're not available on hp's downloads website.
As I recall, it was a real pain installing them to begin with, due to conflicts with the GA software. They had to be modified for GSP compatability.
What I'm running is:
-HP Scanjet 4c
-Symbios logic 53C400A SCSI adapter
-Deskscan II v. 2.3
-GA 6.2
-Win 95
This was a standard GA package.
If anyone out there is still running this old dinosaur and can help me out with the drivers I'll be oh-so-grateful.
My apologies to Steve & Barb if this request is out of line. Let me know & I'll remove it.
Happy New Year, all.
I just installed windows XP and had a tough time finding a driver for XP for the scsi card that came with the scanner. The scanner is still supproted but not the scsi card. That card always did cause conflicts with all the software in my opinion. I think I can solve it with a new up to date card.
Doesn't HP have drivers for 95 or 98 still on their web site??

Besides, I love my 4C, and it seems a waste not to keep it running!
Dan, the drivers on the hp website are not the ones which were GSP compliant. I wish I'd made a dozen backups now, floppies seem to deteriorate over time.
I’m not sure if this is what you’re looking for, but the CD media for GA 6.21 (not the 6.21h-G25 CD) or any of the OMEGA 1.5x CD’s have the Desk Scan II files ready for installation.
Look in the Misc/Hpds24 folder on any of the above CD’s. This should list folders titled Disk1 thru Disk4. The Readme.wri file is in the Disk1 folder if you want to read up on it first.
Check out this website. I don't know if they'll have what your looking for or not. More than likely they will.
I had an old IIc where I used to work, I had to get a new SCSI card for it because we were running NT 4. It was still working great when I left there last year.
Anyway, a little detective work, and on a hunch, I checked Symbios Logic's website, downloaded a driver, and BAM! I'm back in binnis! What luck!
Greg - I bookmarked your link for future reference. Thanks!
Another Happy Scanner,
Steve
