Yesterday after a constant 2 day operation of 1/32" outlines to a custom motorcycle flame and graphic job, as I was finishing up and beyond the rock and roll music I hear an ear piercing noise that never seemed to go away. I get up, shut off the music, soak my brush and begin to search for the source. I start looking for a smoke detector in the shop then go out to the motorhome and disconnect the two I have there, then start checking in the house, attic etc. I begin to freak out, walking around the place and still can't find anything.

45 minutes later I go back in the shop, turn on the music, bend over to pick up a brush on the floor and my pager falls out of my shirt pocket with a message on the face lit up saying low cell! I shut it off and the sound goes away, overworked I guess............

Funny how the low battery warnings on those things are louder than the actual pager beep, aint it?

Wait until you drop it in a couch cushion and it goes off. You can hear the darn thing but can't find it.

Joey.......I am a space case like that too. when I am outside gardening and hear a plane sometimes I think it is a bee and start running across the yard like a man woman. D'ya think it might have something to do with the early tokin' years? Or perhaps lack of a toke or two now a days.

I use to have a pager in my pocket when I played music in clubs. Kept it on vibration so I could tell if someone called while we were playing.
Trouble was, I always forgot I had the stupid thing, and when it went off it scared the sh** out of me. I always thought it was a big ass bug on my leg!

I always kept mine on vibrate, and it made me jump every time it went off. I'll never forget the time I was on a roof of a bar working on the wiring of a 4 x 4. There was a big wasp nest right next to the sign. The roof had about a 6/12 pitch which made it worse. The owner came out with some wasp spray so we hosed down the nest and waited a few minutes. All the wasps are dead except for a few that weren't home and are now mad. I needed to get this job done so I climbed back up there and now the roof is wet and slick with wasp spray. I was pretty sure I had the electricity off but when I put the wires together to put on the wire nut....my pager went off!! I'm pretty jumpy anyway and that about got me. It wasn't funny for me at the time but the watchers from the bar had a good laugh.
