When I first started signs... with craft brushes and acrylic paint (ugh)- the first "real" sign product I had heard about was Frog Juice. When Herb told me about this site I came here to find out just what this morbid sounding product was- and then I met the Frog Boys!

Since then... when someone posts that they have *used* a product and they like it- THAT'S enough for me! When I need said type of product I come here for the brand name that *works*. Anyone can *say* their product works, but unless you (or someone here) has actually tried it- ya never know...

Who wants to find out that the Clear Coat you're about to use is gonna eat your last 7 hours of work right of your 4x8 sheet of MDO by APPLYING it? Not me, when I read here that some of those clears will do that... I made the mental note "not to use THAT" and learned from the poster's experience. (of course being the mental giant I am today.. I can't think of the actual brand name of the clear that did that, but that's what the "search" on this site is for- so I don't have to remember EVERYthing. )

I found Airbrush Action here,
and Sign Craft Magazine,
and Product Sign Supply (man I LOVE that shop!)
and Rick & Lola sold me my first "real" sign brush,
and I got Crazy Jack's CD via meeting him through here -WOW!(and from him directly! How many products are out there where you can meet the Top Dog?!)
and speaking of Top Dogs- I even meet Roger one time when he was with the Amphibious Daring Duo... for me it's like meeting the *stars* of our trade when you get to talk to the real person that started the product you are buying!
ALL great stuff that *works* and works well!

What better a reason do you need to advertise here?

We can chop up a product and nit pick it to death here and Steve will not "gag" us for our opinions (which is why we hang out here), BUT the advertisers can come in and post too. They can stand up for their product or stand behind it and tell us why it doesn't work, or how to use it *right*.
Like Roger- we can use Rapid Tac for EVERYthing! I did not know that, until I read it here.

Yer welcome Donna!! BUT at least ya still can go back to Corel 8! It rocks!.

I'd say that nothing I have learned here is my favourite..as far as tools or equipment is concerned. What I cherish most is the encouragement to go to my first Letterhead meet! (Bruce Bower's meet in '97, I believe)

AND, of course, meeting some of the folks that I have met at those meets.

Thank you, Steve n Barb, for having had the vision to provide a place for newbies like me to meet some of the "legends" and the other newbies like me.

AND thank you again, Steve n Barb, for the wisdom to realise that using a computer is not against the principles of good design.

OK, enuf from me!

The most favorite thing that was introduced to myself

"My Wife"

As she never gets dull and always stays sharp!
(On the wierd and witty Part!) of things!

Puts me back into place and tells me when to come to bed!
"And I can buy all those things in the spring."

I tell her of the money I could have made!
And she tells me of her 8 hours of a hard labouring Day.
After the fact and the evening will fall!
Into her Arms I will crawl..
