Your post was a Question about using products!!!!
Roger is a good person..
And his product is very sound!
But some of us believe in it and some of us don't...
Now does the fact of how to apply your graphics make that much of a Big Deal?
Now help me here on this...
Roger and I have our "time outs"
But the true is...
Is your customer going to pay you in the end for any mistakes on the job completion.

Since you asked again..here is my thought. If you folks are going through 3 gallons of soap and water a day to apply vinyl then you must be making a LOT of trips to the bank to deposit money. In that case $150 (Cdn.)a day for RapidTac is still a bargain.
Either that or the people that are doing the applications are using the soap and water to wash their hands!

Reading over the replies that you've received, it sure looks to me like you have gotten some pretty good answers, particularly for just being posted for a day. What's the problem? Once your question had been answered, did you expect another 50 replies reiterating what you've already been told?
As far as this bb not containing many sign related posts...the total list of posts for today contains 60 posts, 41 of which are directly sign related. The 19 that aren't sign related are clearly titled so as not to waste your time if you're not interested in reading them. The Shortreeds allow us to post off topic subjects on this board because he knows that we like to have our diversions. I don't know how much time you spend online, but I would think that 41 sign related posts should be more than enough to keep the average sign person busy for longer than he/she has time to spend reading and replying to.
Also, if you haven't tried the archive search function at the top of this bb, you're really missing out! There's a wealth of info there also, on most any sign related subject under the sun (including all of the soap and water vs. rapid tac discussions). I would think between your answers here and what you can find in the archives, you will be able to make an educated decision on what way to go with application fluid....and wasn't that why you posted your question in the first place?

"Oh, another boring question about Rapid Tac or how to quote a 18" x 24" parking sign...I think I'll pass"
Being controversial &/or ruffleing feathers gets responses. I posted this as an experiment. I was happy with the replies I got but I was also being honest about my observation of the ratio of sign talk to just small talk.
I think those wannabes over at SignChat.com have really left some of you guys here a bit edgy and quick to take opinions/observations the wrong way.
Like I mentioned...I like Letterville and there are alot of posts people ask assistance of that get no replies whatsoever.
By the way...has anyone read all 85+ replies on Henrys non-sign-related post? If so, work must be really slow.

It's simple really.
When someone asks a point blank sign type question, ... usually there really are only a marginal amount of answers. Most often there is only a handful of ways to accomplish a result.
Now ... when you are asking for opinions or closer analysis of something that has a multitude of sides, personal emotions attached, and angles to it ... it's only natural that it gets alot of reponses.
It also opens up the door to discussion.
This can be a wonderful thing, and keeps this board other than monotonous. It's where we have the chance to really let our personalities shine.
Granted .... not always productive discussion, but the opportunity for learning is always there. That is, if you are open to it, and can recognize it as such.
As for work. I'm swamped over here, yet still managed to read most of Odd's reactions.
Quite the attention getter wasn't he?

The point I was attempting to make was with regards to controversial posts, and how it's only natural that they would elicit more engagement. It's human nature. Not to mention, sign talk is more focused than topics that tend to wander with each added opinion.
Still, I usually enjoy both kinds of interaction. I certainly appreciate that both are permitted here.
Please don't misinterpret this post as an argument, for I understand the points you were making. I'm just adding some of my thoughts.
cheers!
