As they say in Australia, "Good on You!"

I remember the story of the eye doctor telling Mr. Wong that he has a cataract. Mr. Wong replied, "Oh no doc, I drive a Rincoln."

Sounds like my first appointment at my new optometrist. First a little medical history. “Duncan does anyone have Cataracts in your family?” Duncan, “Nope mostly Honda’s” [Cool]

Glasses for 50 years. NO LONGER NEED THEM. Best thing I ever did, almost.

I was amazed at the color change. I expected the clear vision but the color was a surprise! But I’m now the owner of a dozen pair of reading glasses scattered all over the house.

Bill, I visit the Dollar Store and buy a half dozen pair of reading glasses and come home to seed them in different areas of my need.

Your story reminds me of when an employee's seven year old son put on his first pair of glasses. The kid donned his spectacles and said, "W-o-a-h!"

I used Wally World readers for quite a while. Once, in an emergency, I bought a pair at Dollar Store and took them back--too much distortion. I bought a pair of Clic readers a few months ago and really like them since they dangle around my neck when unneeded and clic[k] together via magnets when I have to read something up close.

I lost my last pair of Wally World glasses when the strap came loose when I was backpacking on the Appalachian Trail. I was very glad I had a spare fold up pair in my gear.

Just visiting Letterville today for the first time in a while since retirement...was glad to see this post on cataract surgery...I have developed age related macular degeneration in one eye and my vision is complicated further by a cataract in the same eye...have been contemplating surgery but was a little afraid...doc says inspite of the macular degeneration that cataract surgery will somewhat help vision out of the eye...I paint every day and the bad eye really complicates things and glasses will not correct this problem...at times I will even paint with one eye closed and have contemplated an eye patch... thanks Rick...I'm going for the surgery now...making my appointment this week.
