I would like to take a photo of my foam cutter and eliminate my junky shop/background from it. Is it possible to do this in Corelx4?

A photo like this, or maybe separate it to set it onto a dark blue, fade background. Posted by Ian Stewart-Koster (Member # 3500) on :
Presumably, if you know how to use Corel's Photopaint. I prefer Adobe's Photoshop, myself, because I'm used to it.

in corel X4 PHOTOPAINT............ TAKE THE PHOTO with all the crap in the background. open it into corel photopaint. 1.find IMAGE in the top bar. 2.open it to the drop down 3. CUTOUT LAB select 4. far right upper......5 small boxes 6. 1st box then go to NIB SIZE........large to get rid of most of the backround, decrease size and enlarge photo so you can be more precise. 7. once you have the whole image outlines....go to 2nd box hit the object you wish to save 8.look down a little ways and make sure CUTOUT IS SELECTED..... 9. HIT PREVIEW....... if it what you want save. you will get a mesage screen all objects will be merged into back ground

I find it easy to make a mask in CD and do a powerclip...

Like Bruce...I get a much cleaner job tracing in core and powerclip. Wouldn't be hard...lots of straight lines.

There are a few different ways to do this in Corel. Check out the video tutorials on YouTube or CorelDraw tips.com - free videos, good resource.

Hey Wayne....I am back down in Mexico and have time to do what you wish to accomplish. Might take a day or two but the price is right (free)
Just e-mail me the picture or pictures and I'll do it for you.
