Have been asked about the possibility of painting Sports logo on Indoor turf. If any of you have had experience with a job like this I would appreciate some pointers.
What paint product. What method of layout? etc. Thanks in advance for any light you may be able to shed.

No direct experience here but I think I would ask them if they had a sample piece that you could experiment on and try different types of paint. My GUESS is waterbase is going to be the answer. I think solvent base paints like oneshot might attack the plastic and do weird stuff, but that is totally a guess!

Ask a turf company what they would recommend. Not something that would be cheap or easy to fix if it goes wrong.

Bob,

What is the matter with you?........Don't you have Google, in Tallahassee ?

Here, check this out......I hope it helps you.

They sell the paint that you need and, also, some stencils.......Although,you could make your own stencils ( with the proper material ).

Good luck !

P.S. --- May I suggest that if you, personally, are going to take up this task, you should, also, buy a pair of knee pads.....the industrial kind.

Please don't ask me how I know this.....Enjoy !

Thanks Jan and Ricardo, I could not begin to tell you what's wrong with me RD. [Wink]
There are a lot of unknown variables with this one. I fear that the demands on real tight art work may preclude me from stencil and spaying. I am thinking that their expectations may be beyond the medium's capability. Might be small art viewed up close. Google what's that?

By the way, Bob, you SPAY a female dog.....and you SPRAY the paint on the turf......Please, be careful.

Good luck !

RD

P.S. --- Don't make me go there and show you how it's done.

Thanks RD.
This would be for Florida State's golf facility. They are very proud of their Nole head logo and will demand high quality. I really have not seen anything on these sites that display high saturation and very fine details on the surface of the turf. The big stuff looks great from 100 ft away. Still in a quandry about it. I'll be happy to spray any cats out there:)
