Lady at the McDonalds drive-thru complimented me on the ''steampunk'' design on the side of my truck. Said her husband would be interested in a sign, so I gave her my card. What is a steampunk?

Wikipedia has the definition of 'Steampunk'. It's cool.

OK thanks Shirley....I just checked out some pics and my logo don't look like no ''steampunk'' to me. [I Don t Know]

Wayne,
It's probably the gears - look great by the way!

Thanks! Maybe they will buy a sign.

Yup - it's the gears! Steampunk fans are drawn to anything mechanical looking.

It's cool how Steam Punk can cover from 1700's to far into the future.

one of the best examples of it was the series and the movie WILD WILD WEST))))

Check out Joe's Steampunk Stella. http://diazsignart.com/steampunk-stellas/
It's done him well with Corel & Roland!

I absolutely LOVE steampunk ... rusty metal, gears and LOTS of rivets. We incorporate this style whenever we can. Joe's Steampunk Stella is a wonderful example.

Our current large project has some steampunk styled pieces in it. Today I began work on a giant mechanical Kraken. It will be 32 feet long from tip of tail to the outermost tentacle. The piece is being built to fit inside a forty foot shipping container and is going to Trinidad.

Here's how it looks as of quitting time today... just a good start on the steel structural part today. Tomorrow we begin doing the pencil rod sub structure, then the mesh skin and finally the carved concrete over that.
