The theme park project we are currently working on requires a lot of signs - all dimensional of course. Each ride and attraction gets it's own dimensional identity as well as each building through the park.
One section of the park is western and the signs help tell that story. Peter (my favourite son) is helping to do the sculpting. This was his project for today... the Summit Trading Post sign is double sided and the 'graphic' mimics the mountain top in which it resides.
Peter also sculpted the bucking bronco for the ride of the same name. He did a wonderful job! The horse took him two days to finish the sculpt.
I kept busy on three other signs in this same series. The false fronts in the western town all sport their own identity. The tallest and most grand is the 'Armadillo Hotel'
Here's a closeup of the little critter.
The Apothecary (drug store) has the usual motor & pestal but a rattler gives the sign a little character.
Then there is Dusty's Dry Goods.
We are keeping the router humming as many more of these fun signs are in the works. The owner affords us total freedom as we work on the project. He excitedly shows up around five every afternoon to see what we have done each day. We have four more months to finish this project and it is going to be a push to the very end.

Your son has steered away from the cartoon type horse to more realistic. I like the change, a little more variety. All wonderful work as usual.

That's a plethora of pleasingly fine works! Do you use any armature on those critters, such as the snake?

The snake and tortoise have a sturdy steel rod in the middle of their necks. The horse has a welded steel armature with a structural steel tube protruding out of the back which will be welded to the post along with a similar one on the main sign. Crumpled tinfoil bulk our the insider of the bodies of the critters. -grampa dan
