Can someone point me in the right direction of pricing this one. It's a moving truck, 2 sides, back, front over cab.Customer wants truck bed part that was lettered before,sanded and painted white.The box then to be painted red with yellow panel that is 25 ft length.Red,black,and white lettering all over this thing.It's a whopper of a job.Total square fottage is 555. How is the best way to quote something like this and not to rob the customer but not to destroy your self esteme.He has 5 trucks and 2 small trailers to do.

A sketch would help. This customer is most likely wanting a price less than a wrap ($10-$15 s.f.) I've done these before by painting the box with a roller ($1.50s.f.) Just like it was a repaint on a billboard. Then letter it like a billboard. Sometime it's just better to have a large truck painting company paint the base first. This is often the expensive part.

you doin the painting, sanding and lettering in vinly or print??? kinda to many questions left unanswered as to price a job like that. this is one of those you say somewhere between high hundreds and less then $10 thousand))))))

They want the entire bed painted with base coat clear coat.The existing signage was cut,mask,and sprayed.Lots of sanding and big door frames to mask.We will use vinyl and some large letters which are white on red bkg.will be masked,cut and sprayed.This is a whopper of a job.The owner talked about a wrap.Even if this is a choice for him,the whole truck has to be painted first.He ask me the cost of a wrap and I have been beating around the bush with an answer for that.What is the going square ft price for a wrap for a monster truck like this? As I noted in my post,we're dealing with 555 sq. ft.

Bill...I am confused...the customer wants the "bed" painted in basecoat/clearcoat?
My understanding of the "bed" of a truck is to be the floor? WHy would they want that?
As others have said...a sketch, to scale, would be more helpful.
I used to do 53' trailers regularly, so a 25' box truck isn't all that big, but more details and a sketch would help others help you.

base coat clear coat aint cheap!!! call your local auto paint place to get a price per gallon. i dont buy more then a quart at a time and is almost $50 a quart. to paint that box(which i gather your calling it the bed)2 gallon + 2 gallon reducer. short answer to paint, letter a 555 sq ft truck would be in the range of $20-25 A SQ FT. i think taking it to ECONO BAKE for the paint would be the best choice for paint. lettering then becomes a $10-15 sq ft price range. 555 X $10= $5550.00 a truck.
