I have a customer who wants the facia of his restaurant painted green. The facia is roofing shingles. What kind of paint should we use.Primer and final coat. This is a first.

When saying Shingles.. Are they Asphalt or Wood/Cedar.. If they are Cedar/Wood I would just use a solid color stain.

Ask the Sherwin williams man. I bet a good latex will work fine.

Latex. I had a friend who painted the roof of a restaurant with white latex to cut down on cooling cost. It lasted two or three years.

I was lettering a boat in a private riverfront slip the same day the owner was having his shingles sprayed green, they were a light brown. I asked what was used and it was just Sherwin Williams latex house paint. We go by that house when running the river and they still look great at it has been over 8 yrs
