Just yesterday I saw a very similar van and went around to the front of it and it said Ford on the grill. Looked full size to me but hey, I could have been wrong..

The Nissan has a bodyline crease of 1.13"!!!! I will run the sides down and then have to print a second panel to cover the inside, overlapping the sides, or something...

It looks like the Dodge Sprinter, with a little different face........bring back the old one.
We should know, from past history, if Fiat's involved, it'll be crap! with the Dodge, that is.

What kind of prices are we talking about?
Posted by Kissymatina (Member # 2028) on :
I would love to sit down with the designers of these things. Obviously, these are going to be commercial vehicles. So why in the hell do they put the deep, awful creases & other "trim" crap all over the place making them difficult or fugly to letter? I thought the sprinter was bad.

for the un mechanical folks, these vehicles are stamped steel, and the panels stamped are "multi purpose."so are the ones without windows, these creases give thin metal stability from wrinkling. its the same in you autos. how many vehicles do you know of that have ZERO creases or body lines in the outside sheet metal? any that dont have body lines you lean against it and it will pop in. some of these vans get windows. with the pre-pressed panel having place for window glass, every truck will use the same window glass and seal.

Op IS spot on. Ford ruined the clean lines of the F150 tailgate with 4 panels because it's one grade thicker than aluminum foil. As the Gov't requires more fuel milage, expect commercial trucks to be an aluminum frame covered in rice paper.
One engineer said that mechanically, there is no way to reach the milage requirements. Expect vehicles going over 60MPH to become airborn.

FIAT means Fix It Again Tony. or Fix It All the Time. When I met my husband Ernie he had a 4 year old Fiat Spider. We would have to park it on a hill or someplace where we would have to push start it and pop the clutch. I was lousy popping the clutch, but got good at push starting it. Rusted out easily. Not much heat. The Fiat x 1/9 (mid engine) came out in 1974. That was just as bad.

Funny Diane, sounds like FORD fix or repair daily.
Government mandates fuel efficiency but leaves the details to the manufacturers. Figures.
