Anyone have a vector or high res of the Red Crown Gasoline logo? I have a client who needs a different size than what is typically manufactured. I could scan in a repro, but would like original vector art if possible. Nothing in BBW, OK images on Google.

Thanks! -

finding a vetor is gona be hard as it was manafacture when DRAWING was the only way to get logo art. NOW, .....MAKING A VECTOR from that can be done, as i have built them before. or if your gona PAINT IT, why not use a opaque projector?
doing a 20-30's logo in vinyl.......aint how it was done. so the need for a vector is really not needed.

The client does NOT want paint so I was hoping someone had already done the legwork since the repro/retro stuff is all popular now. [Smile] And since I DO draw, I can re-draw it to vectorize it, but am sure my client does not want to pay the fee to have it re-drawn vs scanned in from a larger size decal they are thinking of purchasing.

The Vector Doctor would have that thing done in no time for around $20 bucks. If I can't find it in 5 minutes...I send it off. Time is money.

I agree, Mike, although the last few items I have sent for quote he has told me there wasn't enough detail, and I am afraid these images are a bit low for him to work from...I could do it but not for $20! I will keep my eyes open for the next few days and see. My client has a budget of about $40. [Frown]

Send your client to www.oldgas.com much can be found there but $40.00 bucks won't buy what he is looking for.
Any sign over a pump plate size available for around twenty bucks will cost far more to produce.

My Dad used to say, "People in hell want ice water too, but they're not going to get it."

$40 budget won't get much. Just because he wants it for $40 doesn't naturally mean that he's going to get it, in my opinion.

I can get the art for $6 from the Time And Seasons guy and he only needs a 6" diameter that I can print with other jobs. So $40 isn't too bad. Thanks!

PRINTING a 6 INCH image of it..........can be done with a 800 x 800 dpi JPEG!!!!!

http://www.iowagas.com/images/2007/redcrown.jpg
a little touchup or adjustment in photoshop and it will print as detailed as 6 INCHS will need to be.

Wow, The art set up alone would be $40 bucks here. Good Luck, let us know what happens. I always like to save a few bucks.
