Not so sure about this one... let me have it with both barrels blazing. Likes - dislikes - and everything in between.

Card for a t-shirt screen printer. Wanted it bold... I thought I would incorporate a T-Shirt into the 'T' part of 'Tees.'

Do you read this as 'Village Tees?'

Phone number would be slugged in above address.... just haven't done it yet.

Appreciate all advice. Thanks.

Looks great Todd.

Some comments:

The "neck" area is not necessary.

& more should go

Drop the "service"

Possibly "Multi Coulour available"

"Friendly, On Time Service" ?

Just thoughts

Cheers - Gregg

Village Fees?

I think these business card designs need a whole new approach. Designs of late are poor examples of what a business card is supposed to be.

A business card is meant to be a point of contact.
There are three basic concepts of how to use a B card. So.....

Why make a business card that is used as a point of contact... And then use size 8 type on the contact info that no adult of any reasonable age can read with out special lenses. This is not a Phone book listing. Use type big enough so an average adult over age 30 can read the thing.

Personally I throw away any business card that I cannot read straight away. No mercy. The card is supposed to be nice enough so the receiver puts it into his wallet or purse. If they cant read it they goona throw it away. It's that simple.

Why have 3 different fonts in Italic at different slants?

Who cares about that resume of what can be done. It's already on the Head line. It is a given. They print T- shirts. It's a screen print shop. Use that space for a phone number, a email addy and location.

As for the concept of three's. Yes that is good. But it doesn't balance.

I read it "Something Village". It doesnt come off as "Tees".

Nice creative idea, but I read it as Fees also, and it's not clear whether Fees is the first or the second word, to me...

I'd try moving Tees in under the final E of Village, beside the Gs descender or tail, if you want to keep the tee-shirt T.
Maybe alter the font a bit & have the G closer to the middle of the card.

Agree with Curtis on the rest.

place a colored outline around village and it will help seperate village from t shirt.

separate t-shirt from "E" and it will help with legibility

Everything this is slanted and throw another font sin there to much of the that"Village" font

tale owner off, well thats just a pet peeve of mine

Only thing I can say is move the persons name and address up a bit so you have good room for a large phone number.
I like the design / layout I read it as village tees... 1st thing I saw

Ok good people -

I have taken several suggestions into consideration... and implemented the one's which I thought made sense to me... regrouped... redesigned... and came up with this card...

What'cha think? The first one was one of the sucky-est things I think I've ever done. Sometimes it's better to go to bed early and work fresh the next morning rather than plow late into the night/morning.

It's still flat...

I suggest you convince him he needs a website, and an email address with his business name on it, rather than a yahoo address- or if you want to stay with yahoo, at least call it VillageTees at yahoo- it'll give him greater credibility in a business sense.

Good call on the email address Ian - thanks. I've passed this along and he agrees!

I would suggest putting the address by the business name and tele/email by the guy's name.

I think it looks very good, but I also think you are doing logo design here... not business card design, so I wonder if you think so, if he thinks so, and if you are charging for that & expecting him to keep using your design for that...

I also wonder how you get that gray shadow fading down, and to the right, along with the "stitching".. it looks great!

Vast improvement. I like the swoop, reminds me of a pocket. I like the more contrasting colours. Nice, clean, I give it a 9.3. Holding up my score cards.........now.

The judge from South- western Ontario is being tough on our boy, giving him only a 9.3. Generally he receives nearly a perfect score from this judge. I believe she said and I quote "she thinks he thinks he can do better. Or he wouldn't have asked."

Make the "Village" a little smaller and put
"Tee's" below between the bottom of "G" and end of card.
