I need to know if you are bringing a sign post forest sign. We are working up a count so we can get poles set for all your signs. Just give me a Y or a N.

I finally bought my tickets this past weekend... so it's more real then ever now & my departure gets mentioned in almost every client conversation... so, among the variety of preparations that I've left to the last minute...

here's a Yes from me...

now, how about a link (or a CTRL-C & CTRL-V) of the specs for these signs...

Posted by Doug Allan (Member # 2247) on :

oh...

"The sign size is 10”x 24”. The sign should have the name of your town and the miles from there to Danville. If you are putting something pointing in one direction or another, you may need to paint that when you are in Danville."

that was easy [Smile]

Posted by Sonny Franks (Member # 588) on :

Jill's "quick-n-dirty" beats my "planned and executed" every dadgum time......

Posted by jack wills (Member # 521) on :

Sonny, did'nt we talk about you using that dadgum,
word?

Posted by Sonny Franks (Member # 588) on :

"Dadgum" is a highly respected word from the Bobby Bowden School of Etymology.......

Posted by Don Hulsey (Member # 128) on :

Well, I got my dadgum sign done bout 2 this morning, so I reckon I'll be carrying it to danville in a few days.

Yes! I will be bringing one from Prairie du Sac.

Posted by Doug Allan (Member # 2247) on :

here's my layout:

http://islandsign.com/signpost.JPG

I cut an MDO panel just in case the weekend runs out too fast to get the 3D toolpathing done for the HDU version, I can still slap a print on MDO Monday and catch my flight that night... but hopefully I get the 3D one completed in time.

Nice, Doug!

Posted by Scott Lindley (Member # 11386) on :

Completed! Soooo Looking forward to seeing friends again!

Posted by Sonny Franks (Member # 588) on :

Totally off-topic, but if anyone engages Sam in a discussion about substrates, paints, suppliers, and/or general business acumen, start before midnight and bring a notepad or recording device.........

Posted by Kelly Thorson (Member # 2958) on :

Hey Scott,
If you are running a bit short of your goal, maybe talk to Sonny and see if his wife, 7 children and cousins call all bring one. [Smile]

Posted by Doug Allan (Member # 2247) on :

making some progress...
 -

I might have to paint it in Danville though.. will get it primed & maybe a bamboo base coat & darker glaze to bring out the texture... then just finish borders & letters on my trip. Glad to see the dedication isn't until Saturday!

Thanks again for your help on the phone Dan! Toolpathing always has it's challenges... and toolpathing at sunrise, after a 24 hour shift.. well, at least I got my clients signs done first [Wink]
