Focus girl, focus!!!
I've always been all over the place but the last few days it was so rediculous I might as well have stayed home. Other times I am so absorbed in my work that the day goes by and I realized I never even stopped to eat.
What gets in the way of your work?

Well,I don't have any kids to blame, but I guess I could say that the things that side-track me from working are,,,,
1. Landscaping, have you seen my yard?
2. Cooking, I detest reataurant food
3. Caring for my animals
4. Stopping a couple of times a day to wash my face, re-apply make-up and comb my hair.
5. And the main side-tracking from work comes from taking time to talk to customers about their sign issues.

Usually stepping over the sacks of money I haven't had time to get to the bank.

Craigslist.
There is so much stuff for free here, I can't stop checking in every hour. However, I have a big screen, pool table, surround sound and lots of other stuff just for the time of picking it up.

My list is similar to Alicia's, you could replace #4 with Facebook.

I also go out to run an errand, and end up rummaging thru a thrift store or heaven forbid there is a T.J.Maxx along my route that day. Then the rest of the day is usually shot. haha

1. Answering the phone and having to stop and talk to walk-in customers. I wish we were "By Appointment Only" but they would just call on the phone if they couldn't come in!

2. Answering emails and typing up bids. It's all part of the sign business, but it takes me away from actually MAKING the signs! So I have to come back up to the shop after supper and work another 3 hours to finish a job that was interupted during the day!

I'm cutting vinyl while I'm typing this, so I'm multi-tasking!

Sign-cerely, Steve

Usually its scaling the walls and getting the wall rigged in order to paint them,it ain't no fun leaping tall buildings,....other than that convincing folks I can still paint just as good as a painter with two eyes instead of just one,..

Work!

Honestly, if I could somehow get paid to decorate my place, weed my garden and parent my child, I'd have a happy and full life.

Definately the internet for me!
Rene, that's a rough commute to be sure. That bloody swimming pool between the house and the shop. [Rolling On The Floor]

ADD...

#1 Bookwork! Monthly accounts/tax returns etc.

#2 Phone calls wasting your time. Especially answering Phone and Fax Marketing calls.

#3 Time wasted quoting jobs. Once spent 1/2 hour going downtown to measure up a window and submit a price. About $100 only to be told she had two other quotes half mine!

#4 Chasing money ... unpaid accounts and late payments.

Bookword & tax- getting the paperwork done.
(not invoicing work, just getting the annual tax return stuff in order- hate it-it's the proofreading that't the bugbear!)

1. KIDS!!!
2. HUSBAND!!!
3. Internet sucks up too much of my time, but I feel obligated to help people when they email me.
4. Did I mention KIDS?!? LOL!
5. Onlookers & their Qs. They don't mean any harm by being interested in what I'm doing, but sometimes the nicest people inadvertently cause me the most grief.
6. Gardenzilla. I've got a quarter acre garden & am in need of serious therapy!!!
