It's been as dry as a "dead dingo's donga" for the past few months. No rain! Even had to go back to the horrible town bore water.

Then rain before Christmas. Tank filled up to overflowing and feeding the house again. [Smile]

BUT it is still raining! Great for farmers. No good for signwriters who have $2000 worth of work outside!!!!!

Not only that but I have just got two large contracts that require Sheet metal and frames.

Sheet metal supplier does not open again until Monday! Framer gone on holidays until 18th January! Sign Supplies shut down too!

Lawns need mowing at last. Still rain.

Damn, just have to play on the computer!

Like has always been said......"Be careful what you wish for, you just may get it!"

Seems like when you wish for rain it comes like that, too much and too long.

Hmm, Jon, that's why we always keep a bunch of alupanel & colourbond on hand here, plus a few dozen lengths of galvanised RHS steel.

How much of which do you need?

When it rains, it pours!
Hope it all works out in the long run.

Thanks for the offer Stewey. What I have not in stock I can pick up Monday. Cutting is the problem.

Alan Shannon down the road who usually cuts for me has closed his sign shop until the 18th! Nice for some people to do be able to do that.

Oh well ,,, out with the hand shares.

That's why I like Alupanel, Jon- so much easier to cut neatly just with woodworking tools, but also so much better under the router.

I've got the blades from a 4 ft sheet-metal guillotine here- just have to make them up into a chopper...one day. Our home-made sheet-metal folder fabricated from some cast-off local council grader-blade steel works very nicely!

Good luck with your job. You could also go to CJR in James St- they do a great cutting service- just not cheap- or else JamesFab in Anzac Ave near the fire station, if they're open. (I had them roll some 5 ft x 6 ft sheets of alupanel to a set radius that I needed a while back- they were very good- not cheap, but excellent.
