Cancer. Early 50's. Non smoker. Didn't drink much, limit 2 beers before he slid under the table. Why pick the good guys?
Keith was a customer of mine from way back when I started in Toowoomba years ago.
Met him again by chance in Vanuatu when Sue and I were on holiday. They were staying 2 units from us in the same hotel!
Everything clicked. We shared a fantastic holiday there. And after that shared more in trips to Fiji and around Australia.
Of course, our business relations blossomed.
Phoned them tonight to invite them to share a free trip to Phuket/Thailand and she told me Keith was dead!
Only spoke to her a couple of months ago. Said Keith was sick ... but that quick?
RIP mate
