"We parted company immediately"
-----------------
That's what I would do. I can't think of anything else.

Some years back while living in south Florida I got a call at 11pm from a guy whose name was Peewee Griffin, he said he was in need of a pinstriper and was going to win Daytona that weekend. I said I would be there in the morning and he said " if I wanted it done in the morning I would have called you in the morning " I laughed and he said this isn't a joke. I got dressed grabbed my tools and was at his shop within the hour. He wanted a triple line on his race car #72 and I gave him a price of $150. figuring 50 a line, he said he wouldn't come out of his house for $150. so I said 450. winds up I did a triple line freehand stripe across the top and down the sides for $450 and got a $300 tip and car #72 won Daytona that weekend with Buddie Baker driving.

Moral of the story is that money comes to those who make money come to them.

In the immortal words of Robin Williams; if the first of the fifth was UA, then the MA wouldn't have to SA, thereby forcing the SN to CM the whole of the BA... [Rolling On The Floor] [Rolling On The Floor] [Rolling On The Floor]

Jon, do you know who Peewee Griffin is? I could be wrong on the # because that night was a little fuzzy to me. Peewee was an owner and there was car # 72 and #28 among other ones and I believe it was in 1980. Buddy baker won the 500 in that year and set a record that is still held today unless it was broken in the past year or two. Those days have been fuzzy but the money was good.
