Had to do something, ins. has me hung out, 8 months, no relief whatsoever, no light at end of tunnel, can't rebuild it myself and don't have the funds to have someone else do it, a step I'd be uncomfortable w/anyways, no one does it like you do....body won't let me, this sucks, but's it's life.....
This would make an EXCELLENT starter vehicle, it's pro built, and designed perfect, shame some sob ran into it....up to this point, truck was accident free and straight as an arrow, those of you that have seen it first hand already know this.....Boone....think LaFever might be interested??? (just a thought)

The photos on EBay do not show the extend of the damage. Is the vehicle driveable?

I rode in that vehicle Post accident, so the answer is, it was runnable a few weeks after the accident. Im sure if it doesnt run at this moment that with a little bit of time in the hands of a competent mechanic it would be running pretty quick.

Seems like the engine and tranny itself would be worth that much itself to another custom builder. Not including the the other goodies such as the spindles and arch springs.

Incdfentally.....it is NOT a gas gobbler...it gets very good milage with the under/overdrive, Art Carr overdrive tranny and 3.08 gears.

Good luck, Frank. I think it's well worth it. I noticed on the Inside Nascar show the other day that Kenny Schrader drives a '88 or '89 model Sub for his personal ride. He said he'd always wanted one, found this one and traded his almost new Subby (30-40g?) for it. That was before he went through and dropped it, massaged the engine, etc.
So to the right person, they'll jump all over that. Shoot, I'd drive it wrecked before I'd drive something gay like this............

In the position I'm in, (staying w/others), I can't download pics I take here because my knowledge of putors isn't as great as maybe it should be and I couldn't figure out how to take pics, enter them into my page from another terminal and send them to party that put ad together in time for ad to run, formulating and running the ad was done by another, far away(thanks for that my friend-to ensure my good friend doesn't have to endure BS for doing so, he'll remain nameless for time being-as if he really cares about opinion of you know who-I refuse to acknowledge his presence or existance after such an attack-if I had a history of being snobbish to this individual, than I would understand his remarks, but that isn't the case, in fact I've always been courteous and forthwith w/him)
So on to more important issues, as I was saying BobC., thanks, good point but it didn't happen, pics shown were taken just after rebuild at a event we both attended, idea was to show something...
Thanks all; sure appreciate support, didn't wish to start a flame fest, only wanted to try and sell something I don't want to sell so I can return to somewhat of a normal life, I worked harder than most my entire life to see my future go away from incidents I have no control over, believe me, I didn't ask to get cancer and surely didn't invite my southern neighbor to smash into my pride and joy, that truck and I had a long term commitment made and it was cut short by someone of lesser integrity(sound familiar DD?)I could get real nasty here, but choose not to, it's definitely not worth it in this case.....

With the rise in price of oil and gas in our world it is not the most practical unit to ride in. But there are people looking for and willing to keep these items alive.

Frank, We once had a 55 Chevy walk in 1 ton and travelled and lived in it. We were real attached to it, and when it became time to retire it I wanted to hire a crane to mount it in a tree rather than to see someone else drive it away. Funny how goodbye's to "objects" can take such a lofty position in our hearts. I saw a bumper sticker the other day that read: "All in favor of conserving gas, raise your right foot."
