Feel like everything is an uphill climb these days. A customer brought in their business card with with the american flag in the background (faded out) and would like the same on his signs. Where do you go when presented with something like this? I checked vectorart.com's digital graphics - that's mostly wood & stone backgrounds - and if I try and google an image from the internet I usually can't open it in Flexi or Photoshop. Any help is appreciated.

Lately we've been buying everything from www.istockphoto.com The prices are pretty cheap, especially in small, business card size.
If you want to grab images off the internet (watch the copyrights) you can just right click on them then paste directly into Flexi or Photoshop.

Camille....I've taken a flag and draped it over vinyl cores to get that "flapping" in the wind look and taken digital photos of it. It's really pretty effective....
You can *stage* your flapping flag to look any way you want it to look that way under controlled conditions.
Then, you can give it any number of effects from within Photoshop.....are you a Photoshop user?

Hiya Camille, I would suggest that the client supply the original art. Or, for a fee, I could find it for him. Even then, I could not guarantee an exact match to what he already has. Istock is good, but I prefer and normally use Comstock.com. They are a lot more expensive than others, but they do offer much larger file sizes that are great for wide format printing.
