I love this site. It's been hard to stay motivated lately and whenever I'm feeling like, "whats it all about", I take the time and see what everyone has to say.

To all of you, I say "Thanks". [Thanks]

I was thinking.... has anyone had the idea of doing a T-shirt swap?

Everyone is so talented and I have seen pictures of many of you with some very unique and interesting T-shirts. Maybe its your shop logo or just something you've come up with.

I don't know about you, but I'd be interested in either buying some shirts from you all or trading.

I think it keeps us thinking about the people we meet, promote the art of the Letterhead and would maybe start a new fashion trend.

I know that "Dutch" was popular about a year ago and I know that I would enjoy wearing something other than some large snowboarding companies brand or Motorcycle logo.

I Think we should help promote each other with some Free advertisng too!

Just a thought.... What do you think? [I Don t Know]

Have we got a deal for you!

If you attend a Letterhead meet, they give you one! The cost actually is part of what you pay for when sending in your dues for the meet.

They like to feed you too so the money does go to a good cause...you enjoying yourself, whilst learning, well fed and dressed to match just in case you're separated from the rest of the herd in a public place, someone can return you back to us LOL>

Ooooooooor, you can throw your own meet and request a swap at the door! Then you wouldn't have to wait on shipping, etc. to get a full load of new shirts, and you could throw them all in the laundry at the same time!

Seriously, yes you can swap shirts and the meets do furnish each attendee with a shirt...if you swing in without paying in advance you're running the risk of them running out before you get there.

yep... I think it was about 6 months ago, but may be time again soon... lets see what this thread turns up in the way of interest.

I'd go again.

OK. Not ever being part of one, how do we go about going at it? Do we do the private message thing or ?

As far as the Meets go.... I did attend the Splash in the Pacific a couple of years ago.

Unfortuantly, things have not been very good lately and the cost of a plane ticket to most of the meets is just not in the cards now.
Three teenage boys are my biggest expense at the moment and there is not a lot left over for Mom and Dad to do any vacations at the moment.

I have one son playing in the "Super Y League" Soccer this year (division of US Soccer) that will have him playing into the States this summer. Hopefully something will be happening that we can work out both if there is a meet nearby.

Does Letterville have a T-shirt?

Still waiting to receive my shirt from the last swap, but I'd try it again.

O.P. had emailed me asking if I thought a Speedo swap would catch on. I told him that I didn't think so. [Rolling On The Floor] [Rolling On The Floor]

what, no red thong swap? New, of course, but customized. [Smile]

just do a search here for "red thong" and check out the threads if you don't already know the details of this running joke. [Smile]

T-SHIRT SWAP NEXT TIME:

My opinion: Each shop designs a "new" logo/look to send to their swap buddy.

In other words, I design what I think Doug Allan's sign biz shirt should look like, and vice versa.

I have one of Doug's shirts he made for me and it has Doug's logo on it, but I don't wear it! I would wear a shirt designed by Doug that says Draper the Signmaker.

That's how I think it should be. [Smile]

I have a great shirt from Dana Blair also- it's a beauty- but there are limited occasions to use it, or the locals head for the phone book looking for Blair Signs instead of for us!

Dave's idea sounds good!

provided all who decide to play also follow 'suit' and actually do it, or it gets a bit one-sided.

(P.S. sorry Brian D- your swap panel is awaiting postage- it's finished, & will get to you soon!)

Never got mine from the last one either, but it was fun-- I would be game to try it again.

I hadn't even thought about it, but I don't wear dave's shirt either (should we swap back? [Smile] )

I think Dave's idea is an improvement over the last swap... let's do it!

Now we just need someone to step up the the plate and volunteer to organize it. (not me) [Smile]

I could be wrong here, but I think Peter already volunteered himself. [Wink]

Kimmy and I organized the last shirt swap, its a really good idea, only issue we had was so many sizes to deal with, some only had medium, and couldnt rightly send to someone who wears xxl.... but it worked out fine, Kimmy had to match people up according to size and availability
