The Jacksons are back home safe and sound. I know I'll probabaly have the opportunity to say so in a more appropriate post but I just gotta say that this meet was one for the books, might have even been the best ever for me and that's not cause I got such a surprise with the golden fiddle! To say that was a surprise is an understatement. What an absolutely fantastic job Sonny, Peggy, B. Bob and the other "staff" did; we never saw them sweat one time.
This meet was "different" because of so many from here in Letterville that attended. There was only 3 people on the poster that Duncan made that I did not get to meet but there were many others not on there that I did get to meet. I'm tired to the bone but really charged up. I love you guys from the bottom of my mischevious little heart.

Terry Colley & I have been heading back to the Franks resident with Sonny around 3 or 4 am the last few nights, but today we got back around 5pm along with Si & Marty, Cisco, Nancy, Dusty & a few names I can't recall after this much fun. Needless to say, the party after the party is still a good time for all. I will add my thanks to Sonny & Peggy for being excellent hosts & add my sentiments for what was truely a memorable event all around.

WHAT A MEET! By far the most fun I've had with my clothes on in a long time! Jamming with the Letterhead rock stars, walldogging, panel jamming, meeting so many great folks from all over the place....the one word that will stick to this meet like glue is "ENTERTAINING"! I wish the show never had to end.
Sonny, B. Bob, Peggy, Nancie, John, and all the crew put the finest they had into this and pulled it off to perfection.
We just pulled into the driveway an hour or so ago. Gump thought it would be cool to see New York at night, so I did what any good father would have...argued with him for a half hour...but he won.
My burro is a legendary beast of fire, (translation - My A$$ is Dragon!) and I'm crashing. Pics later... Rapid

Got in at 8:00 CST last night. The Dixie Sign Circus was a BIG TOP event! Well done Sonny , B-Bob and crew. I enjoyed meeting all of my new brothers and sisters of the brush and catching up with others. This meet was truly TOP SHELF!

It was truly awesome! I dragged my sorry butt in the house about 11 last night. I swear when I took my shoes off, my feet swelled 3 sizes. I'm still suffering from sleep deprivation and everything is kinda fuzzy.
I am so glad I went to this one, had a great time in Georg....ja. Even got a new title, toe snapper. That'll learn ya boys from having nekkid toe nails exposed at a meet that I'm at.
I can't thank the people who put this together enough, the meet was amazing. Thank you!
There were some people on my 'must meet' list and each & every one of them was better in person than I imagined.

My most heart felt thanks to any and all that had a hand in fabricating this remarkable event !!
p.s. I did get some very informative input for those that can't have the meats or heavy carbs and will work on the menu for next time .. Thanks..

Well these "meet" thing are pretty dang nifty if you ask me. Really nice to put a "person" behind the pic. Super people, super chow, and smokin' music (smokin' meaning very good, not to be confused with the other posts that won't seem to die). I still have not been able to rap my mind around all of the talent at this thing. I left with what I hoped I would. KNOWLEDGE. More than I could soak up in 3 days. And I think alot of new friends. Was my first, but won't be my last. It's been said, but what the hell, one more time.....Thank you Sonny and B-Bob!
Oh and Kissy, "toe Snapper" is not the only new title you have... Posted by Karen Wunch (Member # 3577) on :
I was so honored to be able to match (at the least!) a dozen real smiles, great personalities and big-thinkers to those little lines of 2D B&W text we type on Chat -- and 'got physical' with another dozen-or-so people vs. their tiny pics that I've only seen on the BullB. WhooHoo for Hugs!!
match (v): to find equally suitable. <<--LOVE that!
The Internet is an amazing thing. I believe the web's truest power is the awesome fact that it holds, by personal choice, the power to bringing people together from 'cyber' to 'in person' in order to celebrate their 'commonality'. Yes! Their 'match'.
I've now seen it in their OWN smiles, in their OWN eyes, heard their voices and watched as they've shared their passion of the Craft, as well as their passion of the Heart.
And, at the completion of my 2nd Meet? I'm still in sheer awe of The Power of A Meet. I celebrate it. I'm humbled by it. Thank you, each and every one, for the kind words and smiles that fanned the tiny embers of MY passion--it won't go out.
It was truly an honor! I know I was blessed by the hugs and smiles from each and every one of you. AND...the cycle goes forward! Dusty at his first meet and was happily surprised to meet Larry360 from Savannah.
Every person at every meet, whether their first or fiftieth, helps to fan someone else's flame of passion for the Craft we know, and the perfect craftsmanship we hope to achieve.
I'd thank everyone, personally, but the post would go on and on. My Hero at Dixie '04 was oneshot (Shiela). This time? Shag (Cheryl Lucas). I luv ya, Lady. Bless your heart. Keep on Keeping On. Life'll Ask That from Ya...You're SO Worthy. I'm happy for ya.
OKAY. 'Nuff deep cheet. Kissy? Can us gals get a toe snap, next time, too?
Blessings, All.

We got in around 6 last night. Bill and Jane Diaz stopped off in TN to visit some friends and are on their way here as I type. They may get here before I finish.
I may have to stop going to these things, cause every one gets a little better, and if it gets much better I ain't sure I can handle it.
Had a great time, met some wonderful new friends, visited with a bunch of old friends, heard some rockin' music, watched some fantastic talent. Oh yeah, and I ate too many of them damned egg things again.
Thanks Sonny, B Bob, and the rest of the crew for such a great time.

I got in late last night close to midnight. I have to say it was an awesome meet! Sonny, Peggy, B Bob, and the whole crew looked like they had a "how to do a Letterhead meet manual" A very special Thank You to Nancie Phillips for picking me up and letting me stay at her home. She has a heart of 23kt gold and her children were also very cool, thanks Michael for your assistantance on the camera. It's hard to go thru every single name of all you ole amigos and new ones that I had the pleasure to meet, but you all know who you are. If the chance to go to Atlanta again, I would jump on it, it sure is beautiful over there. I had a real good time!!

Judy, it was good to see you in person, & Mike Barnes, no wonder I didn't recognize you! You look much different than your picture!!!
Jake Snow & Jon Jantz were funny guys! Silly, silly!!!
Cisco you were quite the professional photographer!
Terry was just plain ol SWEET!

We got back around 5:30 Sunday eve... Blake and family cruised back up to Missipp Monday morning...
Once again, the meet was very inspiring and a little different than I expected. Everyone was extremely friendly, helpful and fun to talk to. I believe I met all but 1 or 2 of the residents on the Signdog poster, and enjoyed getting to know each one.
Hahaha, Kissy... great meeting you in person. You just as crazy in real life as you are on this board... had great fun even if I did offend the decencies of a lot of Georgians with my new look...
You too, Bobby. You're as nice in person as you are here... didn't think that'd be possible.
Can't wait til I can hit another one.

We rolled in the driveway late last night. We had a GREAT time! Thank you to EVERYONE involved in putting this meet together. Now we know what they mean when people talk about "southern hospitality"! A special thank you to Marcia Peach for MY panel! Bill trades panels all the time, but this one was for ME. It was great to see some old friends but it was also so much fun putting voices (and PERSONALITIES!) to many of the faces we see on here everyday. On the ride home, Bill and I were discussing the amount of talent that was at this meet and how it just blew us away. There were some amazing things happening all over the place! One thing that I remember about this meet was that over the years, many times I have been refered to as "Bill's wife" (which really doesn't bother me...I'm happy he's mine ) but this meet I was "Joe's Mom" even though he wasn't even there! Next time it is Joe and Ben's turn to come and meet all of you!

Great meet! Thanks to Sonny, B Bob and crew and all who made this a great time -- too many to mention.
I was a little disappointed I didn't see any more Kudzu along the way than I did. I remember there being more of it around on our last trip to Georgia, but then maybe on my last trip I didn't have the enormous traffic to contend with.
In any event the trip home went smoothly and I especially want to thank Don (Silverbird) and Dora Hulsey for taking us under their wings and showing us the Grand Ole Opry Hotel and the Mammoth Cave. They're special folks to us.
It's always good to be with Letterheads, I guess that's why we do it. People want to know why we would want to go to a meet on our vacation and it's obvious to us that it "is" the highlight of a vacation.
Several years ago at a meet, when some of us older folks were discussing the future of our craft, it was mentioned that when we passed on there didn't seem to be anyone to take our place. But I'm here to tell you that couldn't be further from the truth, because the younger folks at this meet demonstrated a level of talent and enthusiasm that far exceeds anything I could imagine. Oh, my God, these kids have raised the bar. I must have mentioned that 50 times during the meet, and I'll mention it again. Our craft is in good hands. I had a blast visiting with these guys.
Thanks again! Now ... back to work.
