This is a design that I'm working on for a local customer. It will have a demintional guilded eagle and Signgold Lettering. -

The customer has not seen the design yet so I wanted to see if anyone had any better Ideas.

As Always, Thanks! -

I think it looks good, Blake. Law-firmish,
classy. I'm not quite sure about the oversize black separator and lines on either side of the Attorneys at Law, maybe something in gold and a little smaller would look better. That just stuck out to me, but overall I love it.

Putting the names on a separate panel is a good idea; you have room to add another partner, by only replacing the small panel. Around here, I too often see law firm signs that have to be completely re-made because they didn't plan ahead... just something to think about.

My one and a half cents...

That hiding behind the couch icon rocks!!!!!!

So does the design. I'm with Jon on the black portions though, they are overpowering. I'd like to see the names in the lower panel slightly smaller, they look a little crowded. The eagle could be pulled a touch down or shrunk a little too, in my eyes. If you could find one who has has wings bent a little it might snug into the shape of the top a little better.

I really like the design and the overall effect!
I love the eagle in white. I'd be more tempted to leave the contrast there and give him an alabaster or marble treatment. I think it plays beautifully against the red and gold.

What really slams the design home is the ornamental initial.

Hiya Blake,
I like it, but here's my 2¢ Take it for what it's worth [Smile]
 -
The word lawfirm on 2 lines was really bothering me and the PC is not that important to be as large as it is.
Finally, I don't like the way the columns flow into the sign. There's not enough color contrast to stop my eye at the sign. So, I enlarged the columns to break things up a little.

Havin' fun,

Checkers

...I'd add BOLD BLACK outlones to all of the PRIMARY copy. And a BLACK background (instead of red) in the square panel. There is SOO much red on that design... too much IMHO.

likes it.. was wondering what help ya needed ..although checkers made improvements ..thinks you could have figured that one out... THANK YOU & ENJOY LIFE

I agree with Billy. A black background would look awesome (particularly against the gold)or change brick colour black/dk grey mix. A little too much red happening. But I love your design.

My two cents worth.
Why even add the attorneys names?
The main panel says it all.

I would put the address under it.
Such and such street and number.

The clientel are looking for the "Firm and Location"...
As Deri said there is to much red.

Great work, but...
quote:
it will have a demintional guilded eagle
It's dimensional, please, the measurements are dimensions; and gilded, please, a guild is an association!

(there seem to be a few dementia-inducing threads here lately [Wink] !)

I like it and agree with most everything said previously.
If you plan on using leaf and SignGold match the karats so the colors are simmilar. (I've done SG and 23k combos and it just didn't look right ... not bad, just not right)

Something that makes me go hmmmm....
"Attorneys at Law" ... are there any other kind?
Can I be an "Attorney at Paint"?

Yeah, what Mr Pickett said!

Ok, I pooled everyones thoughts together. But not sure I like the Black in the logo? The name of Lawyers and Doctors are a must around here for some reason. It must be a ego thing with them.

And yea, what Ian said. It will have one of those choped out to shape thangs up top with shinny stuff on it.(I can't type or spell) -

I was thinking more along the lines of the entire panel being black instead of red. Leaving the panel you made black red. Just my 2 cents. And I don't know whether those Lawyers are gonna want their names so small after they paid so much money for their degrees. [Wink]

I just don't like the logo with a solid blk square. And a black sign is not a option. The sign will be a dark red almost light burg. Also I was told to leave room for the addition of future names. - -

Well I guess this idea is moot then.... [Smile]

I guess burgundy will be OK as a background, but in time it will fade to almost a brick color.
Too bad they wouldn't go for a hunter green or navy background.
My 2¢ on your design is that I would lower the eagle a bit, or put it on some sort of background.
Alternatively, you may want to eliminate it totally from the sign, as the logo looks nice on its own, and put dimensional eagles on the brick posts.
Also, with the name in all caps, it might be a bit hard to read. I would switch it to caps and lower case.
Love....Jill

I like your last version, Blake. Only thing I would change now is to make the main copy with the logo smaller, then bring it up a litte. I'd also make the name panels a bit bigger without increasing the size of the lettering.

Blake, I like the last version also... I did like the Attorney at Law underneath their names, it makes those panels a little larger and more noticeable...

Also, knowing lawyers, they want that word 'Attorney' within 6" of their name at all times... lest you forget their importance and stature among the community.

Edited to add: In interest of having room to add more names later... you might want to leave the 'Attorney' off...

too funny, but so true.

Blake, do you have access to a router table?? all the brick and gold is screaming for some extra dimension. Tell the attorneys when they move up to a dimensional sign they have 'arrived'.

I have to agree with Jill and Deri, I think if you have a burgundy panel with the red brick, you are going to have too much red going on.
How about the black background on the entire sign, maybe even a smalt background with the gilded lettering & logo? The name panels should be separate and the same size, then if there are changes or one leaves, the name plates can be removed or updated.
