Hey Joe - Avoid at all costs the "Awfull House" in Hattiesburg if you go thru there - we ate there - or tried to, anyway - - -'bout 5:30 am after driving all night from Olive Branch - -they were out of Ham, out of Cheese, OUT OF JELLY!!!! I was too tired & dumbfounded to even attempt to find another eatin joint after gitten the family awake & everybody getting seated - - - horrible experience - -Loud rap music from the jukebox - we did eat - 3 sides of bacon were delivered 3 different ways - 1 was soggy, 1 was durn near burnt, one just right - they didn't have pecans for the waffels we orderded - had to almost beg to git my coffee refilled, she didn't bring the ice-water we had requested - you git the idea - - only redeeming quality of the whole experience was they also messed up on the bill - she handed me the ticket was 12 bucks & change. . . .I had it figured in my head when we ordered to be around $23. . . . .plus we all laugh about it now - -
Waffle House in Jackson, is good - the one near the Med center right off I-55- - -have eaten there several times over the years & they run it right - they gave us all paper Waffle House hats last year - it was hilarious we all wore them driving down the freeway - I believe there were 6 in the car at the time - - -I got to laughing so hard I could barely drive - seeing peoples reactions passing us as everbody was cuz I was afraid of gittin a speeding ticket - totally embarrased my oldest daughter at the time - -
anywho - GIT WELL JOE - make them doc's earn their money - - - - -

We were out to the beach this evening and it was about 72 degrees.. sure hate it everyone else in the world is burning up!! Get back to good ole P'cola as quick as you can.

Hey Jon I Love Wilmer - to us that means we gitten close to gittin there - Snuffy Smiths is the only thing open for miles & miles - usually a welcome sight after driving all night - at least good for a candy bar & restroom - -plus they sell fireworks -at least they used to last stop they didn't have quite the inventory they used to have. . . .sign of the times, I guess. . . . .

I remember, back in my college days, when I had surgery. It was to repair sliced tendons in my pinky finger.

Nurse comes in..."Mr. Webb....I'm gonna need you to remove your underwear" (To operate on my PINKY finger for cryin' out loud)

Me?...."I'm not taking my shorts off."
She...."I'm sorry but you have to."
Me?...."no thanks, I'll keep 'em on."
She leaves....
This gruff...bossy older lady comes in...
"OK Mr. Webb...I'm gonna have to ask you to remove your shorts"
Me? "These shorts ain't comin' off"

Get well soon Joe!
