I need to buy a new computer for the 54" versacamm I will be purchasing (finally decided) so I need some real world input as far as computer specs (RAM, HD etc.). I plan on graphically maxing out this puppy when I get it!
History... I run Corel Draw X3, CD Painter (not photo paint) and Photoshop CS2. Most of the files I create are vector sign files (corel) and t-shirt art files (photoshop) or a combination of these but not on the scale of digital prints.
I know digital print files will be a lot larger and require more from my machine so I don't want to work crippled. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
BTW, Also looking to get a 24" or larger wide screen LCD any rec. on these?

i use a P4 2.4, 160 gig SATA, 120 gig ATA drive.. , 1 gig of ram, and a reasonable video card. for almost all work its just fine,, but this is the minimum I would run,,

Doug - bang a lot of ram -- the more the better-- and she'l rip the files much faster---

2g (min) or 4g ram, dual processors are affordable & fast, 250g or bigger HD (built in backup drives are now common and inexpensive), good video card, 256meg - 512meg if you are going to look at huge monitor.
19 or 20" monitor is plenty but if you have the bux spoil yerself !! Dual 19" is a nice affordable option as well.
Bad news is that if your shopping a Dell you'll get better deal if you can wait 'til labour day...
