Flying rats, that is...to be precise, pigeons! As I've mentioned here before, we live and work in a century-old church, and in 6 years, this is the first time we have been plagued with these vermin. Can't shoot 'em 'cause of city bylaws...this may come as a shock to the Texicans...but I gotta do something as they are nesting right over the doors to the shop and I really don't want customers getting shat upon by anyone but me. Any ideas for the eradication and/or removal of these critters is welcome. MUR

pellet gun at night Cat.. Rats wil eat the eggs and young.. Screen up the openings. Set a trap with seed food.

Murray..might seem like a silly idea..but most animals do not like being around the smell of mothballs/crystals.
Try spreading around some moth crystals where the birds like to perch. They will also discourage bats and coons and squirrels and other unwanted inhabitants, including moths (go figure!! LOL)
(use crystals rather than balls..larger animals will cart off the mothballs and return)

They won't like Rapid Remover either, but it won't hurt them to inhale it.
Its killer for flying insects as well, but I didn't say that and have no expressed opinions set forth.

you got some italian freinds????? nothin better then SQUAB in spaggitti sauce.....and we used to go at nite with fishing nets and catch them while they sleep.....put em all in a cage....and take them to the county animal shelter....hahahahaha

A bird of prey is a good deterrent too. Perhaps, carve up a hawk or an owl. Just be sure to move it every so often so the critters don't get used to it. And you can always use products for our industry... http://www.nixalite.com/

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. Tried mothballs but no matter how many I threw I couldn't hit the little buggers. Rapid Remover? Hey, why not. It sure removes other stuff! Climbing up there several times to move a carved owl is a non-starter, but thanks for the idea...think I'll carve an owl just for the shop. Arson comes to mind. MUR
