Hi All,

I am going to put this out there and see if anyone is interested in doing a Shop Shirt Swap.
(new shirts and sweatshirts only) It's something that "Captain Ken" and I have been talking about doing. I think this could be fun. A few Custom shirts would be a great idea.

So, Let's all do it...I will take full control of the situtation(taxes are over).....It should be really great!

The idea is that ..."We all have our own shop shirt, why not send em all over the world...

I'm in, who do we send them to?

Posted by Dave Draper (Member # 102) on :

We are in!

I would like to know if we are sending out 50 shirts or just swaping 1 shirt for 1 shirt?

(What are we gonna do with 50 shirts? Hang 'em on the wall?)

How about a specific number like no more than a dozen so we all don't go bankrupt.

Let us know!
Thanks

ok, here is how we will do it, lets try to keep this simple:

send your shipping address and shirt size to
fitzgeraldconsulting@yahoo.com

we will draw names and send the recipient's name and shirt size out to each sender, if you do not include a size will assume that 1 size fits all (xl) just to remind you this is for your personal sign shop design on a NEW tshirt or sweatshirt. 1 shirt for 1 shirt, If you want to send out more than 1 shirt you will have to send a duplicate email for each shirt you want to send, just so the name drawing will be easier... This is the same basic principle as the panel swaps of the past or the christmas ornament swap, this one should be easier to ship than a panel or a fragile ornament.
This is going to be fun, I hope I get a Draper the Signmaker shirt, I will wear it well.

Not knowing the theme yet but the person receiving it will wear it proudly!

Sounds Cool.
I've been meaning to make up some new shirts for years now. My old ones make me look like a bigger bum then I am.
This would be a good excuse to print up some more.
Would you like them airbrushed, silk screened or photo transfer?

Posted by Mark La May (Member # 1644) on :

Do You Have a cut off date?
When is the swap?

Posted by captain ken (Member # 742) on :

originally we were thinking a silkscreened shirt that advertises your business, I suppose phot transfer shirts woud be fine, as for airbrushed shirts, I guess it would be ok, if thats what you do for a living, remember this is for YOUR business nmae on a t-shirt in exchange for anothers random shop shirt. we are getting a descent resonse, and we realise some of us have been procrastinaing on getting shirts printed and would use this as an excuse to 'geterdone' so lets not cut the date off yet, but we will tenetively say about a month from now, we will start pulling names.

Ken,
No problem, I'll do extras, since we can print at will 1 to a 1000 shirts from the computer right to the T-Jet-2.

That way, if someone gets stuck not getting a shirt,
we can make up the difference. (it happens) [Smile]

Sorry!
No designs of 100-1000 piece process on my part.

Hey captain ken,
That is what I do.
Most any thing that deals with art & makes money.
Photo transfers at car shows, Airbrushing at other events like HOG WRESTLING, Run a full time sign shop & do 4 color silk screening on the side.
The only thing I don't do much of is sleep.

Kimmy, a query-
we're not keen on T-shirts, but use polo shirts instead (like a T-shirt, but with a collar & 2 buttons).

Any chance we could have an option to give/receive a Polo instead of a Tee?

Posted by Kimmy Fitzgerald (Member # 5109) on :

Ian,

Since your way under Us....I will try to see if there is a "polo shirt" available...it's heard in these northeast states we tend to sport them, (I do anyway).......So, I will do my best...

Merchants of Letterville feel free to swap a shirt as well.

You will be hearing from me soon!

There is a very small cherished supply of LOVE print t-shirts that I have. I have a size LRG that I would like to add to the t-shirt swap.
Here's a picture of my daughter Samantha wearing one at Rick Glawson's last conclave. The other little girl is Jim Ingram's granddaughter.

BRILLIANT!
This is a fantastic idea, I've been needing to design and print some new shop shirts anyway so you have just given me the motive.

Kimberly, that is a wonderful addition to this swap...it also shows sweet... diversity that this swap may turn into to.

To ALL,

Again, I encourage everyone to submit something...

I have recieved a few emails from heads asking if they may be able to swap a panel....seems spring has inspired alot of us...

I understand that some people may have no shirts so.......please feel free to participate with panels.

At this point lets just make it a "Spring Swap".

Letterville, Anything... swap?,,feedback would be nice.
