Then when she turns 21 and gets married she will want to keep her family name as well, so it will be hyphenated with her new hubby's name...

I like names that can fit either sex.
One of my latest faves is "Payton".
I hated coming up with a name, it is a huge responsibility (not that a baby isn't)
I was glad when I found out in my 5th month that Justis was a boy, only 1 name to worry about!
I truly believe that the right name just pops into your head.
Even if it is Agatha.

Laura,

I think traditional middle names are coolest, especially if they have some personal or historical meaning behind them.
My middle son's name is Justin Timothy, and his wisecracking dad said it should be "Time" since I just stepped off a plane from Maine to South Florida hours earlier. It's a wild story, but I am very happy with what it came out to be.
My problem is when I get mad I call the kids by the other's names, and they have a heyday with it.

Stefan for a boy, his initials will be S.V.P. (S'il Vous Plait). Or any other name that starts with S. Stefan is my brother's name.

The girl...hmmm, how about Sophia Paulette. My daughters middle name is Sophia, the accented syllable is the "i" but don't say i as in mine, say i as in fish . Not confusing, is it?
