My daughter is due in July...again (3rd) and asked me about names. If its a boy, she wants the middle name to be Paul (but doesn't have to be for my post) as its a family tradition.

My brother is a Michigan State Fan..He named his sone Matthew Shane Uhley...MSU.

I'd like to think up a name for a boy or girl with cute initials or that is an acronym. Any suggestions? Last name starts with a V.

None of the _PV ideas I have work too well...

PPV = Pay-Per-View (wrestling, porn)
HPV = Well, that's *obviously* bad news.

I would name her "The"

Then when she turns 21 and gets married she will want to keep her family name as well, so it will be hyphenated with her new hubby's name...
"Mark Didit"

You figure it out.

...How 'bout if it's a boy, THUMPER or KEG. Manly names.

...And for a girl, SASSY or MUFFY. Cute and girly.

...Let me know if I win.

Billie,
We aren't naming a kitten.

By the way, when my mother was married to her first husband, her initials were C.O.D.

I like names that can fit either sex.
One of my latest faves is "Payton".
I hated coming up with a name, it is a huge responsibility (not that a baby isn't)
I was glad when I found out in my 5th month that Justis was a boy, only 1 name to worry about!
I truly believe that the right name just pops into your head.
Even if it is Agatha.
Love....Jill

Laura,

I think traditional middle names are coolest, especially if they have some personal or historical meaning behind them.
My middle son's name is Justin Timothy, and his wisecracking dad said it should be "Time" since I just stepped off a plane from Maine to South Florida hours earlier. It's a wild story, but I am very happy with what it came out to be.
My problem is when I get mad I call the kids by the other's names, and they have a heyday with it.

I knew someone in our congregation that named their son Levi Eugene. The pastor nicnamed him Levi Genes.

Remenber Sienfeld. Since she will be born in July, how about the name "Seven".

Stefan for a boy, his initials will be S.V.P. (S'il Vous Plait). Or any other name that starts with S. Stefan is my brother's name.

The girl...hmmm, how about Sophia Paulette. My daughters middle name is Sophia, the accented syllable is the "i" but don't say i as in mine, say i as in fish . Not confusing, is it?

Oh, congratulations, by the way [Smile]

Edited to say, if my mother had named me MUffy, I'd never talk to her again... [Roll Eyes]
