This may sound dumb but..... Can a color close to one shot maroon be mixed... if so.. can you share??? [Confused]

red and black kills the color but to mix up a maroon you would use purple and bright red then add droplets of black and white sparingly to achive the best combo.

Color mixing is an art in itself, a color has to last as well as show it best [Smile]

mr. madden...YOU NEED TO PUBLISH "THE GUIDE TO MIXING COLORS" put it together and then ask steve if you can sell it for $19.95 a copy.....iam sure a lot of us color dummies would love to have a copy........

1-shot Bright red + Proper purple to taste. Maroon fades in less than a year!

I find if I have to put a maroon down, that a red- oxide or burnt-sienna coloured ground coat first, and maroon on top gives the best appearance of durability. (like for cutting & spraying, or backgrounds) If the maroon does fade, and it will, it'll fade to something similar & gutsy that lasts.
