This one's timely, here's a shot of ours... it's not finished, I have to do some digital on the back, but I'm having a hard time deciding on what.
This is engine turned gold and silver, with the logo printed, I bevelled the lettering to give some deminsion. -

Steve; your dub p/u is too cool !!! really like the logo and how it fits....(dropsides are rare-nice to see pristine example) [Cool]

Ray; will the owner of Brushwood Studios come to parking lot, your phone number set your truck on FIRE !!! also, you're blocking my trailer spot... [Rolling On The Floor]

Wayne; way too funny... [Rolling On The Floor]

Karyn; your logo turned out very nice... [Applause]

Kissy; is that stain on right door, clam juice or mush melon? [Rolling On The Floor]

Dale; badass Camaro, nuff said...

Frank; very nice... [Applause]

Neal; maybe what you are looking for is a white outline around that gold leaf, it would work as you've already introduced white to design w/phone number...it would bounce that logo 100%, really show off that good looking leaf job... [Applause]

Me? post pics? [Rolling On The Floor] don't know how !!! ... do have a bad ride though ...

SignGold & airbrushed vinyl
 -

When I get around to fixing the rusted cab corner on my Van Ladder,
I'm going to redo the doors with the new logo. All vinyl on the
doors, all paint on the sides. I never finished this. In
front of the side graphic, I wanted to do a torn metal thing
with a fist popping through with paint brushes in the fist.

Thanks Frank, but the phone number is actually Silver, same as the stripe, so maybe a silver leaf outline around the gold portion, that sounds cool.

Posted by old paint (Member # 549) on :

i sent him that pic....and up under the rolled up awning it says "we do" which make it a tag line and not a company name, as the company name is up on the front end and says MOBILE DIVISION of A SIGN MINT...which is the company name. like i told him i DONT WANT TO BE ANYWHERE NEAR "SIGN SNOW" if you look at their logo thats what it says....

I can't find the photos I took of Bruce's truck, so I just ran out and took one. Didn't turn out too well, since I didn't have much room to work with!

I wish you could see the painted chrome bevel on the lettering, or the rest of the graphics on the side, but the neighbor's truck was in the way... lol!

 -

Here's a photo I took of the Cruiser this past weekend. That silver stripe you see is actually engine turned aluminum leaf we did Thursday night. I will have to get some close ups of that.

We added some chrome goodies this past weekend at the Cruise the Falls in Ontario. I have a Xenon spoiler and a wind deflector sitting on my front room table, that we need to put on. Then I will get some better photos!

Eventually when I get going on my sign stuff, I want to make some magnetics for it, so I can slap 'em on when I need to. I still have to come up with my final logo... lol!

It is all done with Edge print on Reflective. Topcoat with UV clear (brushed on) Looks as good after 3 years as when installed. I won't have it in Mazeppa though. We are riding our Harleys.

Bob, is that an Astro van???

I am presently driving my husband's '94 Chevy 4x4 Silverado, but we are working on an Astro van we got for $100 on ebay last summer. i have always wanted one, & did not want another bill to pay, so we did it this way. I traded a lettering job for an engine from my friend at the junk yard, & Jon & I have been hitting the junk yards for interior parts & stuff for it. It is looking really good. Just got it legalized, & right now it is at my friend's body shop, he is popping out a big dent so we can get ready to paint it. I am trading him an airbrushed work on a Harley tank for the work he has done on my van, helping me.

Hope I can post it when it is finished. It will really be a big transformation. I feel a bit humble saying all this, seeing all your nice rides, but I know it will be nice when it is done.

Barb, go here. It's easy. You just have to follow the instructions. You may need to use something like photoshop (which should be no problem after having David Butler at your place) to make sure the resolution & size is right.

Here is my truck, which I am unhappy with also along with my bdg sign. My Rango is done in window perf. Has anyone applied this stuff dry? Because of the expense of the perf printing (out-sourced), I elected to do it wet. As a result, it was foggy for about two weeks. Then I sealed the edges and laid a 1/4 strip of black vinyl on top of the sealant. I wished I had used differnt colors now. I'm gonna leave it on for another year. I out-sourced it and was $11 a sq ft. Too Much?

I was surprised! Is that a reasonable price? Since then I've found someone to do it a lot cheaper. Experience is an exellent teacher.

Back in the 70's everything was spelled right. Then a man named Webster came along and changed everything. For example we spelled "car" G-T-O. Gas prices were spelled $.60 a gallon. Then a man named Opec came along & now we spell it $3.00 a gallon.

I didn't wash it and or unload the MDO. I painted it back in 1998 so it is ready for a new graphic design, or get traded in on a scooter that gets 50mpg.

Well hey Pat!... good of you to notice!

Back in the day I worked on a few local farms
and the guy in charge of the C-e-m-a-t-e-r-y
was an old townie farmer/church decon/dowser and all.

He had dropped the 2" thick pine "colonial" sign blank off
and a "layout" of what he wanted.

My Dad had set it aside for me and told me Roland was
in a hurry for it.

That sign was up for a good 10 years before
anyone noticed (or said anything).
And after the touch up job it is still swinging there.

Funny thing is my Dad had missed the spelling
and Roland too....
They both own a small piece of real estate at
the bone yard and I know they'd be rollin over
at the thought of that sign being wrong!

I have to remove the lettering so I can roam the interstates as a private individual, and not a business. It will probably be relettered the same when I return.

and my Chevy which was all paint, we masked it up one weekend awhile back (99 I think) still looks as good today.

Making a difficult delivery....and no I wasn't stuck!

and I know I naively borrowed rather alot of elements from Jay Allen's logo many years ago [Smile] We went through all that once here, in a long discussion many years back.
