Dear Mother Nature,

My neighbors and I have been discussing the weather a lot these days and I felt I should write to you.
I don't know what we did to offend you, but I would like to sincerely apologize from the bottom of my heart for whatever it was.

We would all like to know when you are going to allow is to mow our lawns again. We're all for those "April Showers", but it's June now. We've had plenty, thanks.

A few reasons why we would like the rain to stop....

I've got maple trees in the yard shorter than the lawn at this point and would like to correct those proportions.

Last time my 3 year old went out to play without it raining, there was SNOW on the ground.

Mud season SHOULD have an end.

There are a lot of upset bikers in New Hampshire this week. Upset bikers are not always a good thing. This is a safety issue.

If we get much more rain, galloshes are going to become back in style. Please, don't let that happen.

Arthritis...nuff said.

According to my son, playing JV baseball games in the rain...14 times in a row...sucks! (Sitting in the stands with a waterlogged hot dog is no fun either.)

I remember reading somewhere about some guy named Noah and a promise made to him that there would be no more BIG floods. Did that deal fall through? If so, can we re-negotiate?

There's more water in my garage than there is in my neighbor's above ground swimming pool.

You can canoe down my street...and I live on a steep HILL!

Thank you,
Rapid

PS: Thanks for the sudden temperature drop last night. I finally got the air conditioner fixed and nearly froze my 'nads off last night as a result.

I was about to say the same thing Kelly but then we'd have 105º temps AND humidity and I think that might just put me over the edge! LOL

I'm loving it! We got our hay up and it is so nice to not have to be irrigating and moving sprinklers... plus a delayed forest fire season... nice cool temps.... no flies on the horses. I'm sorry for being selfish... but since it's not my fault, I'm gonna enjoy it!!!

We're getting rain and sun and wind and earthquakes and more rain. Very strange year. Our chard has bolted and so have the peas. We're replanting some of the garden, and it's too damp to go camping. The north wind we usually have visit us in March, is coming now. Everything is running two months or more off normal schedule except business. As soon as tax time passed, things got real busy.

PS. The grass is a foot tall again, and it's too wet to mow. Guess I'll need toi be satisfied with carving.

June has been a Rain/Cool Zone here, after a teasingly nice April/early May.

Hope it's PERFECT in Mazeppa......15 sleeps til we fly.
