Customer wants triangle to be colapable for portability. Is there a better way than putting hindges on inside of 2 of the 3 pieces. Kinda like a organizer. It looks like using the hindges I will have to notch (cut) out for 2 of the hindges and put the notches behind them so pvc will fold up evenly. Signage is on 2 of 3 pieces of 1/4" pvc (2' x 3'). Bottom piece is just sitting flat. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I recommend a Signcade (Ameriban has them).

We have one of those Signcades that we "rent" for organizations. We sell them small banners that they keep. I try to talk them into something that they don't have to change every year ("Pancake supper this Thursday" instead of a date) We installed screws in the four corners of the face area of the signcade. Then when the Methodist church hosts their pancake supper, THEY pick up the signcade, install their banners, have it for less than a week, and return it to get their deposit back. It has worked out really well as they feel they are getting a deal and we are doing our "civic duty" to help out the non-profit organizations. They understand that they will be charged for the Signcade if it is not returned. We are pretty picky about who we lend it to. They can buy the whole unit if they want but most of them are just don't want to store something that large.
It works for us, but we are in a town where you know most every organization in the area.

Hiya Michael,
I like Jane's suggestion because it keeps traffic coming into the shop to buy more stuff.
Is this an indoor or outdoor sign and how big is it? If it's just something small, portable and used indoors, velcro will work as a hinge or you can use these hinges
On exterior signs, I wouldn't use PVC. I'd use MDO and a piano hinge. There are other options available too. If my memory still works, one is called sign paws or something like that.

Havin' fun,

Checkers

All 3 (1/4" panels of triangle) are 2' x 3' and I have all ready made my first mistake because I have already put my reflective vinyl on the 2 panels that will show. The bottom panel will be sitting flat of course. Customer may want 3 of these triangle signs. I believe he is wanting these in place of getting A-frames. This is why my thinking went to some kind of universal hindges that I could get at hardware store so sign would fold 3 panels into 1. He wants to put signs out daily and pick them up at end of day. He wanted something that isn't real heavy. Originally he wanted me to make these signs out of coraplast but I couldn't find my way to do it. I don't believe money it a big issue with him but still trying to figure out the fine line what to charge him also (if I ever finish) so that maybe he will want the other 2 signs. I am open to suggestions.
