It Amazing the Amount of Abuse the Human Skull can take. It is amazing what doing the Nestee Plunge backwards off a 4' will do to the Back of ones Skull... Oh yeh Did I add that I had an Exacto in my mouth.....LOL Now that will give you the Shivers.... It some how fell out of my mouth when I hit the ground.... I guess..
One thing about being the early bird is that you hope someone else was feeling that way on Monday morning... They were,,, and after about 12 minutes & a couple pints of blood... So was the 5-0, The Fire Dept & The Nice people from the Ambulance company...
I did get that job done later in the day after a Cat Scan, 7 Xrays, Numerous Stitches, And A lovely bruise.. I am feeling ok, Considering what could have happened... Makes you think ( about going back to church too) Wow.. I know alot of you may not believe me.. I wouldn't have either prior to yesterday. But I know alot will... I have heard that the Lord works in strange ways...
I didn't want to Call My girlfriend when it happened.. She would had Lost it... So I waited ( call Right Away I late Learned) She answered the phone, Where have you been? ( I didn't call Sunday Nite. It was Monday Nite now. Relationship Blues. Were Having them) Angry .. she wasn't ,, Worried to death she was...This Girl Has Compassion for People Like I Have never Seen . She Is Truly a Gift from God... Makes you feel like you are not worthy to be with her , I am not. I would like to be. I Started explaining what happened & that I had fell... The next words outa her mouth were, I Had a dream last nite... I saw my Grandma in Heaven... She was there with my little Sister & Gary, my Moms ExBoyfriend, They were Happy.. I asked Teri if She saw her Bad Grandma (I am not judging Her. She was a bad Person) no she said calmly.... Now after a Fall like I sustained.. Things aren't really so clear. To hear what she said next Really made my head feel weird.. nah... More like Freaked me out!
She said her Dream was interupted By Something.. It Was you she said.. I had another dream. You were laying on the Concrete bleeding.. I could not help you, I didn't know where you were, only that you were Suffering... I prayed for God to Watch over you while you were hurt... thanx Baby...He Did..
There is no way you can Fall from a 4' landing flat on your Back & head like I did without getting seriously injured.. Yes there is A way..
Wow! talk about a change of events.. I didn't share this Story trying to save Everyone... I haven't been saved myself.. I am thinking about my life now & What I need to do..
Well I had better get home.. The Swelling is Killing me... Hurts to Laugh. And Yes my Mom Drove me to work this mornin....

Talk about about a blessing in disguise.
My mother in law is self employed, and very active.
She fell in the shower, and broke her hip. She was pretty mad about being out of commision for a while.
When they X-rayed her hip, they found a tumor. They operated, and removed it, and they told her it could have been really bad if gone un-noticed.
Hope you feel better.

About my second or third year into sign painting, I was working off of a six foot stepladder out along the highway and for some unexplained reason I passed out and woke up on the ground which had many chunks of broken concrete. Luckily there was a sheet of masonite just where I landed. I believe God was watching over me. No injuries. No, I wasn't drinking.

Glad you are okay,Mike! I had a fall from 4' onto asphalt in 1983. I was stepping back to figure out how to fix an "S" that looked like an s hook on the back of a truck(hydrolic tailgate). I wasn't as lucky as you..I fractured my skull,had a concussion, lost my sense of smell and have nerve deafness in one ear. But all through this I knew God was looking after me. I faced major brian surgery because of leakage of spinal fluid down my throat but after 2 weeks lying flat, the leakage stopped. After 2 months I went back to work lettering another truck..got back off the ground on a walkboard & ladder. God bless you,Mike! Judy
