Played around with it a bit... But I can't seem, or have not really had the time to experiement...
But.... can anyone tell me a good pressure and speed to cut this stuff ?
And what is the optimum blade angle ?
And does this stuff ever bond !!! Is it O.K. to use App Fluid such as Rapid Tac to Glass ?

we cut stencil at 2 IPS and around 400 grams pressure. yes its very slow but you have to cut it slow to get good detail. do not use any rapidtac to apply, the stencil we use has a water based glue.

I've never been able to get Hartco to cut on our Gerber HS15 Plus with consistant results. Because this plotter is a tractor feed model, we've used multiplal passes, but still Hartco is too stiff. Can't wait to see how other folks do with this product.
We do use it on our CNC however by applying it to the whole panel, and letting the router, using a tiny V bit, do the cutting. This saves the transfer and allignment process.

Graphtec owners can use the following settings: you MUST use tangential control use Force of +/- 34...depending on thickness use CB15-K30 use Speed 10 use Quality 1
Hartco may be somewhat difficult to cut but the results, when done correctly, are absolutely gorgeous...and it weeds like HP.

You don't need to use app. fluid. They have different types of adhesives for different types of substrates. Whether they are primed or unprimed. I slow my machine way down and turn the force up all the way. I use a Roland 1410. I use 60 degree blades, but was told that there are 70 degree blades available. We do alot of sandblasted signs, so if you have any questions feel free to call.

Leonard, Whatever plotter you are using, you would need to begin with slowing the speed down and increasing pressure from vinyl cutting pressure. Check to see if you have a soft/hard material setting. If so, use the hard material setting. Obviously, start with some test cuts to get correct blade depth so you do not cut thru backing. 60* blade is recommended. (Was not aware of 70* blades as Donald mentioned.) Do NOT use app. fluid. Depending on blasting depth you can use our 310 for light blasting or 425/535 for stage carving. You can call me if you have any additional questions.
Joe - it normally cuts fine on Gerber tracker feed plotters. See above recommendations for cutting. If you still have issues, please call me. Hartco mask is stiffer than Anchor, because our mask is PVC vinyl, Anchor is rubber.

It cuts fine on my Summa D750 drag knife with the sandblast blade and holder at 400#s pressure, 10 ips, 30 degree angle and overcut at 5.

I use Hartco 425 with a Summa T750 with great results much happier than many other brands I've tried. Slowest cutting speed, and different blade, tracking is great compared to rubber.

For the record.... I got the sandmask to cut wonderfully....
On the 24" Panther this is what I did...
60 degree blade, Slowest Speed possible, and pressure setting of 10.
Also lowered the third rollor in the middle to help with tracking distortion...
These sttings work wonderfully... Possibly could be improved, but worked wonderfull even in the small detail....

I have been using Anchor for years. We have done a couple of signs, but my husband does a lot of rocks, usually sandstone. When I cut large pieces on my plotter (Anagraph Express AE 70) I have to take it off the stand & lay it on the floor to do it. I cut slow with a 60* blade.
Dan, I would like to try Hartco. Is it as heavy as the Anchor rubber mask is? Is there a way I could order a sample to try it first?
