I have to make up 4 20x55 Lexan panels with 8 Lexan "windows" 9"x101/2" attached. The spacers are 3/4"x1/4". Main panel is 3/16 Lexan and the windows are .093. These are to hang in the windows of a realty office to display pics of properties, and get direct sun plus heat from the electric registers under the windows. Thought I had it whipped by using Velcro, but the heat released the glue and it aw faw down! So far I have tried hi temp hot glue, cyanoacrylate, and am currently letting a test piece set up with silicon. Any suggestions short of shooting myself would be welcome.

channel bond, made by Transco
Its a clear liquid that you put on with a dropper
Will "melt" the lexan to itself, great for changeable letter track on lighted signs.

methylene cloride is the stuff. You can get it from any of the big suppliers; East-West etc.

yes , solvent glues are best for PVC type plastics.

Filler glues do not last for some reason..

Hi Mur,
I've had mixed results with cementing Lexan.
In this application, I would use acrylic. Acrylic is much more resistant to scratching and when cemented with Methylene Chloride it is Permanent! Also, many grades of Lexan have the nasty habit of yellowing in the sun.
If I need to bond lexan pieces together, I sometimes use 3m VHB tape, but when I need to be sure as in sign face hanger strips, I rivet them together.
