My multicam cnc router failed to proceed. We tried everything that Marketplace (the distributor) told us to, then sent the motherboard for testing. It came back ok, we replaced chips and ribbon cords. We still had a non functioning cnc. We sent the board back again and this time they said the board was fried from overvoltage. It had been set up, by Marketplace at 5.8 volts and now they say it should be at 5.3. Here is the rub. They want$3,000.00 plus for a replacement. This is very frustrating as they may have been the ones who fried it. Does nayone know an alternative for this motherboard? Have you had a similar problem and gotten them to replace it at a more resonable price? Another cnc company sells thiers for $1,500.00 retail. Any help would be appreciated. Maybe you oughta bypass Marketplace and go directly to Multicam, describe the situation to them.
The voltage setting may have been a mistake but it's *THEIR* mistake and they need to eat the cost. They already basically admitted to setting the board up wrong so don't roll over on this one.
Fight, scream, kick or whatever you have to do to get it fixed - at no cost to you.
