![]() NevmanHello everyone. I'm Pat Neve and this is my wife Della and our son Sean. Not pictured is our oldest son Pat III and the youngest, Nicholas. I'm a third generation sign guy running Sign Man, Inc.; the shop that my father started in Melbourne, FL in '78. Before that, he owned and ran a one man operation in Staten Island, NY called Brite Signs. Born in 1963, I started sweeping the shop when I was 10 years old(50 cents an hour! ); coating boards and cutting in letters at 12. We moved to Florida when I was 15 and Dad just went door-to-door finding clients with Mom keeping the books and networking. And I surfed - and helped at the shop - and surfed. Business steadily increased and we now have a 2400 sq ft shop and (currently) 5 employees. Mom and Dad are pretty much low profile around here these days. Scheduling, paperwork, material ordering, and employee morale are handily handled by my sister/partner Colleen. I do mainly sales and most of the layouts and designs. We produce most all kinds of signs except neon 60% commercial - 20% retail and 20% fun stuff. I have been to 6 Letterhead meets and enjoy my family, sailing, surfing, skateboarding (still), the Letterhead Website and the sign biz. We are currently planning an expansion to our operation by adding a storefront building on the same property. The showroom will be nicer and it will give us a lot more space for production. The future looks bright - and when it doesn't, I go sailing.
Peace to all.
